I did note however that I had to lower uncore from 40x to 39x on my 4790k to fix some slight memory instability that causes sound glitches and rare kernel panics. I have no idea why. I tried every usual voltage tweak but it doesn't go over well. I had same instability issues with 4770k for months but the f10 beta firmwares actually fixed it. to resolve stability on F5-F9 I had to set memory to like CAS 12, 1600mhz with stability profile just to keep system stable. F10 let memory finally work above 1600mhz and with correct timings (CAS 9 at 2133) on my 4770 with no issues. Issues came back with 4790k until i lowered uncore to match what uncore was on 4770k.

Doubt that helps you, but it's interesting the level of memory issues i've had with this board.
That is interesting. I havent had memory issues with this board (until now) however two things changed simultaneously which doesnt help things. I changed my bios, and i upgraded my 4770k to a 4790k like yours. My ram not only wont run as fast as it would with the 4770k (which i attributed to the fact my 4790k is clocked much m uch higher) and the memory settings wont save so i have to flash my bios every time i change the memory settings ugh . A real pain when trying to dial them in. (which i attributed to the bios). However the fact you mentioned the uncore is interesting because it seems mine wont even do what mine did on the 4770k with any memory overclock at all. Im stuck running about 100mhz lower on both the memory and the uncore but im about 300mhz higher on the core overclock.

Either way, i dont think any of that should affect your bios ability to save settings lol. Just a buggy bios is my assumption. Eager to get a new one out here but blecgh.

Adding another request to get a bios for my Z87x-UD3H that has the min and max uncore multiplier settings in the bios as well as the HPET option (many other companies have these settings in their bios). Please, before you start to only focus on Z97 boards.

I know it might not mean much to you but having these features missing and my requests ignored has convinced me to avoid all Gigabyte motherboards in the future.

You would do better to ask Gigabyte directly instead of on a user forum. That is what support tickets are for.
    Just saying....

Stasio claimed to have sent my request in at the beginning of February. But I tried here too. A gigabyte thread about gigabyte beta bios.... seems like a normal place to request features that are missing.

You would think so, wouldn't you? But I'm not so sure Gigabyte pays any attention to this forum. Mostly we try to help each other best we can, as it's a user to user forum. But personally I contact Gigabyte directly if I feel I need to. After years of sticking around I've never seen a Gigabyte employee respond.

Im sure with something as profound as what im about to mention - they likely already know. However since it appears your affiliated w/ gigabyte, im going to post it anyhow in the hopes that you mention it to them :P

As per my previous posts, my memory timings and frequency is locked. It doesnt matter how high or how low i set the mulitplier it stays put. Same with timings, i cannot adjust any of them. I change them, restart.. and the number is saved to what i changed it to but the settings arent actually applied in bios or in windows.

This has occured with the update to the 10b/c beta bios. The only way i can chang ememory timings or speed now (a real pain since im dialing in an overclock on a new chip) is by flashing the bios over and over and over. If i flash it fresh, i can change the settings once to whatever i want and it will stick. Beyond that point I cannot change it without reflashing. This isnt the case with anything but the memory.

Figured id put that out there in case you felt like passing it on for me :) Until theirs a new bios im kinda stuck. I really didnt want to back pedal especially since these are labled as better performing with the new chips but i tried anyhow. Alas it said the flash utility was too old (w/e was integrated w/ F9 wouldnt let me flash back via QFlash) so i left it at that :P Figured i'll deal until I can upgrade again and hope the problem is solved >.>

    Thanks!!

Noticed some funky stuff going on with memory compatibility with F7d SOC Force z97 bios.
my memory is no longer stable with this bios getting errors in test 9 on memtest.

and its XMP profile seems to be getting detected wrong with this bios.

looking forward to another bios with memory optimization... or F7-d has had memory support crippled or something.
