Sorry for my English, because I do not speak very well English, I'm from Brazil.
Well I have a GA-Z77X-D3H revision 1.0, the problem is this, every time I update the network driver onboard for Atheros LAN driver 2.1.0.21, begins to give the famous blue screen BSOD, especially when I use utorrent, good after several tests I installed an old drive manufactured by Atheros own version 1.0.0.36 date 27/09/2010, the system comes back normal. Good only difference I noticed is that this is the latest driver provided by Atheros, because it was sold to Qualconn any driver I lower manufactured by Qualcomm blue screen, downloaded a program and debug stated that the error was caused by driver network. Searching the net I found more people with the same problem, I have the files saved here BSOD Minidump. Today I am using Win 7 64 bit, but also the win8 already tested and gave the same error.
Already tried almost all the available BIOS on gigabyte site and the same error occurs.
Same thing for the network drivers have tested several versions of Qualcomm and the same error occurs.
Searching the web I met more cases like this but no solution.

Follow the link to the minidump files.

Crude and buggy, on the platform of GA-Z87-D3HP with 4790k, the strongest performance degradation, cinebench 15 shows huge drop in rendering to the level of 4570-4670

What's funny is working turboboost and Hypertreading. All cores are loaded to full 100%,with 4.2 ghz, and the voltage rise. Nothing special, but perfomance drops.
the most stable and the best in my opinion F7C, everything like clockwork and maximum performance. No drop perfomance
Department Gigabit terribly fail again...need testing more quality.
Yeah, I'm waiting to see if Gigabyte releases a newer BIOS than F10a for my G1.Sniper M5. F9 overvolted the vCore to 1.38 @ 4.4ghz. F10a is better, just 1.18. Still not sure Turbo working correctly.

I use a GA-Z77X-D3H Rev 1.1. It runs pretty much perfect for me. I'll just list everything I use:

    (1) BIOS version F18i
    (2) Windows 8.1 with all updates
    (3) Atheros drivers v2.1.0.21 WHQL
    (4) Intel INF v10.0.17 WHQL
    (5) Intel RST drivers v13.1.0.58
    * this is only the driver extracted and manually installed, not the whole RST package
    (6) Intel MEI driver v8.1.10.1275
    * this is only the driver, not the whole MEI package
    * the version for the MEI where it was inside was v8.1.30.1349
    * this particular old driver version is important or the device will break after standby/resume
    (7) I think I flashed ME firmware to version v8.1.52.1496, but I am not sure
    (8) VIA HD Audio v6.0.11.0.400
    (9) VIA XHCI (USB 3.0) v4.50A
    (10) Graphics card is a GTX 560 Ti, so newest NVIDIA drivers

The CPU is an i5-3570k. I can use both offset voltage overclocking and fixed voltage and both work fine and easy to get stable. I use up to 1.38V for Vcore (except in the summer when it's too hot where I am).

I also use Linux a lot. Everything runs fine there (all drivers are built directly into Linux, so there's nothing to download), except the audio needs strange, manual changes for the settings in the audio mixer to output things correctly. The same overclocking settings work for both Windows and Linux.

Been testing the Z97 SOC Force X08 bios....
    its a disaster.
    --------------------------------------------------------

Memory support issues with the bios.
i can not boot my system with the XMP profile enabled, or overclock my memory with its current timings.
the system will boot loop back to default bios optimized settings with a power off and on, on led code flicking between 64 and 71
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Think i will stick to using the next F7.x variant bios`s as what ever they have done to the memory timings or something on x08 i cant use it.
unless they can fix what they broke
or there bios version has completely broken the support for my :Avexir DDR3-2133 CL9 x2-8GB memory....
