I didn't have much luck with F7c for the UD5 either, it would lock hard after a random amount of time in windows. Even when not overclocking. I went back to F7a for now and it works much better.

    gigabyte extreme f8b i7 920 D0 :

f8b not changed anything from f7a/b/c

with cpu D0 not possible over 200 bclk , not possible over 1.32v qpi .....with cpu c0 was possible on the same main board

    190x21 vCore 1.18v full qpi 1,30 memory 1.65v it's ok,

211x19 vCore 1.18v full qpi 1,32 memory 1.72v mission impossible, qpi the limit is 1.32v after the main does not start

What do you recommend for :

    cpu pll : ??

    qpi pll : ??

    ioh core : ??

    ich i/o : ??

    ich core : ??

    Sirioo,

Have you tried the cpu D0 on another board? Or a older bios that worked like the C0?

You may try. If You have any problems, please don't ask to fix it. Mod is unofficial, but tested, that PC is bootable after updating (used Windows 7 x64 RC1). Don't forget to read BIOS update FAQ and clear CMOS settings after update.
I have been trying it, works great! new AHCI ROM makes boot much faster, less delay in finding hard drives ....also running wind 7x64 RC1.

Sirioo, I read in your sig you have a UD5-Extereme? Isn't it either a UD5 OR an Extreme?
Also, what results did you get using F6d that were best for you?

I'd like to try F8b on my EX58-Extreme, but if I already hear it performs worse than other bioses... then I won't.

I have a ga extreme, the bios f6d worked well on cpu C0, now I have a 920 D0 with f8b bios, if you have cpu step C0 not problem you can use f6d or f8a the problem and cpu D0
