    Generally,
agreed with slowing down Z97 BIOS updating, due to X99.
Ok, 5 months without an official bios

Even worst, the one thatīs on the gigabyte web (F4) I think it feed 1.4v to haswell refresh.

    lol :D

guess we z97 soc force mobo users where shafted by gigabyte when z99 came out.
really is bad of them to be honest cause when these boards first came out they where praising them to death and now dumped like so fast its unreal lol stasio mate looks like x99 is our next firmware fix if we want we must upgrade lol

    - put all files on your USB stick
    - add the BIOS file you want to flash and rename it "bios.bin"
    - reboot and start on your USB stick
    - flash start automatically... wait for "FPT Operation Passed"
    - restart with CTRL+ALT+DEL

Just tested .....flashed Z87X-OC from F8 to F7g.....few hickups...but OK.
Now must flash back to F8.

    Edit:
Reflash once more time with Q-Flash.

    Btw,
you have BIOS switch........(2 BIOS chips)
so keep this BIOS on one BIOS chip and flash whatever you want from second chip.
Should this tool still work if downgrading from F10 to F9 on GA-Z87X-UD5H? I'm not one to ask for help prior to exhausting all options, but I don't have a whole lot of room for error on this one. Thanks.

Would you recommend one over the other. DOS vs Windows?

[QUOTE=stasio;491143]First page (post) of this sticky.......Backup BIOS reflash:

    ALT+F12 - AWARD BIOS
    ALT+F10 - UEFI BIOS

Sorry, Stasio I didn't work. I have Award Bios. Not sure if UEFI BIOS is a brand or a type. I tried Alt+F12 and my main is F9d and backup is F2 - won't change...Maybe you need to tell where and when- anytime and place in BIOS?
