No, sorry, neither Alt+f12 nor Alt+f10 did anything. F9b on main and F2 on backup. What now?!? What is UEFI Bios - is that the larger bios we are now using? - however tried both [nervously] from start up to well after splash screen. No reaction and no change. Thanks for helping me get this fixed.

Maybe PS/2 USB extention for keyboard will help.
Some USB keyboards work just fine, it just depends on the keyboard and BIOS used at the time. Also try right ALT key if left doesn't work for you, sometimes that helps on various keyboards.

Finally! Thanks Stasio. That did the trick. I plugged in an old PS2 keyboard and it did it first time and sucessfully. Thanks. My fancy and expensive Corsair USB keyboard is problematic with the BIOS and sometimes hitting delete doesn't bring up the BIOS...sometimes it does. Anyway, for now solved.

My SATA is indeed in AHCI mode. I don't use RAID nor IDE.

There should be an option for SATA Device Type under Configured as eSATA for every SATA port. My question is: where is that option? It was there before. I'm very sure it was.

Thanks.

Press "Enter" on Configured as eSATA.....(or maybe "Software Preserve..?).

I can't select those options. Are you able to contact the BIOS engineers/programmers about this specific issue?

Thanks.

If is problem for you, return to BIOS with those option.
Probably they change this with reason (I asume also for other X99 models).

Nah, it ain't a big deal for me. But I thought it was kind of weird. Both devices are still recognized properly though by IRST. I really liked the option, because it gave me the feeling that the BIOS treated both devices for their proper technical specifications. Don't have any problem with or without the option.
Hope the feature comes back though.

Thanks again Stasio!
