Some USB keyboards work just fine, it just depends on the keyboard and BIOS used at the time. Also try right ALT key if left doesn't work for you, sometimes that helps on various keyboards.
Thats the reason why I keep an old PS2 keyboard in my cupboard.

I think I recall reading somewhere that you have to modify the firmware to keep from losing your mac addresses if you use FPT. Is that true?

I'm thinking of rolling my GA-Z87X-UD5H back to F7 due to some problems I am having under Linux with the integrated graphics using the displayport connection to see if it may be an incompatibility issue between the updated video bios and the Linux kernel drm driver.

I just rolled back the same MB from F10c to F9 using the Win tool. I did not have to.

    hello,

    i have problem with my ga-x79-ud3 and pcie x16 slots. I have xeon e5 26xx ES 3.0ghz. i use bios f21d.
My vga nv970gtx boot only in pcie 1.1 x16 mode. When i set pcie mode gen2 or gen3. Vga has no signal. I tried many variations of bios settings, like PCIE boot mode switch to legacy, booting without any pheriperials like hdd, ssd, usb f. panel. But no still signal. When i clear cmos, then i heard 3x times beeb and nothnig. To get to bios i have to change my old 8600gt vga which boot ok in any pcie mode, to change settings back to pcie gen1 mode. Then i can use my 970gtx. The same problem was with my 670gtx. I know about pcie 3.0 incompatibility with sandy bridge a nv cards. I dont need pcie 3.0. But i wold like to use my 970gtx least at pcie 2.0 x16. If cpu has problem with pci 3.0 compatibility, but hwinfo said that pcie 3.0 is supported by my cpu. Please any advice? Coud help downgrading the bios to earlier versions thane f16? I tried bios from f18 till f 21e and nothing help.
