Having problems with memory speed over 2133mhz on Gigabyte X99 UD4. Have tried two different ram sets and both cause system to crash if over the default 2133mhz setting. XMP setting on both sets cause system instability. Thought I would ask here as not getting response from Gigabyte support website, as opened tickets just get closed and then listed as 'solved' lol. Any help appreciated. Cheers guys.

    Hey,
I finally found the reason why NVFlash wasn't working with my Gigabyte X99-UD4. After hours of investigation i found out the error is related to the BIOS option "Full Screen LOGO show"

NVFlash only works when this option is enabled, as soon as I disable it NVFlash will crash.

I already wrote a ticket to the Gigabyte Support to forward this problem to the BIOS devs but I don't think they did.

Finally, I find someone has the same issue on same mb with me. My biggest mistake on my build is purchasing this **** gigabyte mb. I have opened a ticket on Gigabyte support website, too. The reply from them is the overclocking is depending on the ram and they closed the ticket. And they never fix the issues from the 1000 new BIOS they have made.

    Hi Stasio,

    I flashed GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI - F8
onto my machine tonight using using Q-Flash from inside the BIOS, and everything was successful. But the system just bootloops at the Gigabyte logo screen.

Here is what I have tried to fix/revert:

    - clear CMOS button
    - direct to bios button
    - unplugged all USB devices
    - switched the BIOS_SW to the backup BIOS

Everybody else, *DO NOT FLASH BIOS F8* onto your GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI motherboard.

OK everybody, I walked away from the problem for a few minutes and thought of something else to try. I thought back to all the problems we were having with older x99 BIOS versions with USB card readers etc plugged into the F_USB30_2 header.

So I tried unplugging my Silverstone FP37 card reader, and viola! The machine booted. This is CLEARLY a regression from earlier BIOS versions, because I had no problems with GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI - F8f.

I have not tried GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI - F8g. I just don't have the time or energy to sit around and troubleshoot.

Hopefully this message prevents others from going through this frustration again. Starting to wish I bought a different motherboard...

A sentiment, I too, share with you. Z77x-UD4H owner.. not a single non-beta release. Ever. ASUS FTW, bye bye GigaBYtE.

Stasio, any chance we could get an updated F7E bios for Z97X-SOC Force with updated roms?
