    unfortunately not fixed yet.

Ok Downloaded the Latest F8 Bios for the Gigabyte X99 G1 WiFi board from the Gigabyte website

And still I have to remove any mechanical HDD from my system just to get into bios but works with any SSD I have installed , plus the latest bios hasn't fixed the USB incompatibility problem anything but a usb mouse and or keyboard and it Freeze's or shuts down after restarting.

As a side note I have tryed many seagate , western digital HDD to see if it was my hardware but nope not my hardware

One last thing the Debug Led should show A0 when system is running at desired operation aka: IDE initialization is started However mine shows B4 which means usb device hot plug-in
so the bios is still having a issue being incompatible with usb devices hooked into the motherboard

How hard can it be for the engineer's who design the boards to make software that works they have had 6 months now since release I would hope these chap's should know what there doing lol

Registered to say that my system(GA-X99-UD4) freezes on bootup with my DAC (
Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2Di) plugged in, have to unplug it to get my system to post. My logitech Extreme 3D PRO joystick also has issues with the system posting while plugged in.

The USB problem has been around for ages and even has had a fix in previous bios updates but has made no difference.

All the X99 Boards from gigabyte have had this issue from the first release bios and it still remain's. If you leave any USB device or dongle installed after a manual restart or cold boot and the system will hang or shut down it's quite sad really

So I have given up on gigabyte and RMA my board yesterday thank goodness I'M in Australia as we have very strict consumer laws here that protect the consumer. I was offered a replacement or exchange or refund so i chose to exchange the board for the Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme

And you know what this board works as intended I can have any USB device attached and it's purring like a kitten the asus bios i'm useing has fixed every problem the X99 Chipset had at release

    Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme Bios 0901
    1. Update EC FW
    2. Fix crash free issue
    3. Fix Xonar card compatibility issue
    4. Revise Thunderbolt memory resource
    5. Enhance Xeon CPU compatibility
    6. Rebuild SteamOS boot option
    7. Update Intel ucode
    8. Enhance USB compatibility
    9. Enhance system stability
    10. Fix WHQL secure boot
    11. Fix Xeon CPU DRAM frequency info
    12. Add SATA controller RAID mode support info

If i was you RMA your board and swap it for another brand

Just a warning for GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK owners on BIOS F7f, my system will continually fail to boot when I set my XMP profile to Profile2. It is some G.Skill 2133 RAM, and after rolling back to BIOS F7e the problem went away and I could use Profile2. Haven't found any quirks yet in F7e, I'll keep searching.

Can anybody comment on whether GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI - F9a fixes the boot loop and USB issues? I'll try it later today if nobody has yet...
