I then updated to the F16g Beta listed in these forums and despite Intel Virtualization Technology being ENABLED, Hyper-V doesn't start in Windows 8. Says Hypervisor not running. Downgrading from F16g back to F15q addresses the Virtualization issue.

I leave my PC hooked up to a UPS. But when there's a power outage, the PC shutdowns successfully. When the power is stored, the PC doesn't come back on despite AC BACK = ON. Instead I must manually press the PC power button to start it back up.
I am using F16g on my GA-Z77X-UD5H Hyper-V works for me, used it to run Ubuntu. Not quite sure why its not allowing it, are you just using Windows 8 or have you updated to 8.1? I've also had issues with it too however. Virtualization for some reason conflicts with the DRM for the play back of Blu-ray movies, so I half to disable it to get PowerDVD to work.

I've asked Gigabyte about this last Friday if there is any plans to update the Z77 boards for new non-beta BIOS's, still waiting to hear back from them.

    Hi again everyone,

I am very happy to say that GA-X99-Gaming G1 WIFI - F9 has fixed all of my bootloop/USB related problems. It's about time, Gigabyte.

Now if they would just fix SmartFan+, I'd be totally happy with this motherboard.

    Thanks :)
I don't know but I've been using F10 on my Z87X-UD5H since Stasio posted it last year. No problems for me.

Okay. So I finally figured no updates in over a year? Why not try the latest secret betas on this site for the Z77X-UD4H & Z77-HD4 boards.

Some issues fixed, others just happen to show up (figures):
    -- Z77-HD4 --
    - Disabling the PXE LAN boot option has NO EFFECT. How bout a fix?

    -- Z77-UD4H --
    - Strange boot up behavior now (takes a lot longer, and if I enable fast boot, sometimes there are beeps, sometimes there are not). Regular single short beep for proper system boot turns into a foghorn single long beep. Its rubbish cause scavenging around on Gigabyte's cryptic site reveals that the long beep is a memory issue. Apparently memory compatibility hasn't been fixed, just shifted to report the board has "an issue" instead of lying and saying its "all good, dude". Tech support is a waning entity as well, they don't seem to have ANY answer to a simple question of beep codes, nor are even aware of this site and only know of the latest beta bios from corporate being on their website.

    Summary:
    - Have tested my RAM, Video Card, etc on other boards, and its the Z77X-UD4H that is at fault. Typical fix some stuff, break other stuff scenario.
    - Good luck keeping customers. Sad to see Gigabyte go from decent quality in products and support to flock to the latest crap and forget all the rest of their lineup even though they still have issues.
    - Still, HIGHLY doubt any of this news will produce new updates. The "Z77-4" line seems like their cousin's adopted, disowned, step-child that they tried having an abortion on. But update all the 3's & 5's; they can't even get those right, I doubt the Z77-4-boards are even half way there.

Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 F9 Bios is finally a decent Bios, at first from F4 to F8c i could not get into Bios, system would just hang. Motherboard was also almost bricked once trying to get into Bios with DTB button. Flashed with Q-Flash Plus and it's finally working great :)

    5820k overclocked to 4.5 Ghz @ 1.285v, paired with Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB @ 2666 MHz

Stasio, with regards to the X99 UD4 Rev 1.0 board running the F12 BIOS and front panel USB boot issues..

Still having issues with the front USB panel, anything plugged in to either USB 2 or 3 during cold boot causes system to hang at BIOS post screen or on occasion if it gets into Windows then random shut down to a boot loop. Powering down unplugging anything is front USB and rebooting fixes issue and once in Windows can use the ports.

Was this supposed to be fixed in this or an earlier BIOS release or is it still something being worked on?

As long as nothing is plugged into front USB panel it seems stable.

My specs are in my profile, is there a BETA BIOS available that may fix this issue or a future update that will be released to address this?

    Thanks for any info

    Cheers Q

Hello all! I've tested the F21e Bios for X79-UD3 and for the first time ever windows reports my correct overclock at 4.3ghz on the cpu instead of 5.6ghz.It seems stable enough but I think it would be better for Haswell-E owners as they support pci-e 3.0 natively.Gigabyte has fixed that issue with this bios once you install the graphics driver, provided your bios is set at either Auto or Pci-e 3.0, the board will automatically set itself to run at 3.0.With my cpu I still have to use the reghack.Just a heads up in case anyone was wondering.
