Have you noticed how Gigabyte releases Bioses and then replaces the Bioses with different files with the same name and version number?

I have and I have several Bioses on my PC all with different Md5's yet the same stated Bios Version.

The files were downloaded several times from different servers and Md5's checked to make sure that the file was not corrupt. Currently, that is the only way to make sure that the Bios that you download is not corrupted while downloading.

My advice after personal experience and knowing other people's experience is not to flash the Bios for any reason unless absolutely necessary. It could destroy your system.

I have installed 9b for a few months now with no problem but lately I am getting whea uncorrectable all the time.

I have 16gb memory, no overclocking, with temps low, somehow after using it well for a few days... it keeps going into a Whea Uncorrectable Crash Loop. No matter what I do it keeps doing that. What settings in the BIOS must I have in order to get this working? I updated the newest bios from Tweaktown GA-Z97M-D3H - F9b. What can I do? before all these updates I was working fine for a few years. I have hte i7 4370k or so and never overclock it and memory are using the recommended ones from GA. Please advise.

not the saved ones, I know. I've amended the settings manually with screenshots made before.

that was what I tried first and it did not work ("unknow command"), so I changed the BIOS via FPT back to F6g.

However managed to OC i5 6400 to 4,4 GHz.

The only bad thing about F6g is the boot-loop-bug when BCLK OC.

    Hi Stasio!

I'm a long time fan and I would like to say I really appreciate all your work you have done over the years. I've been looking for your posts about beta bioses since nehalem days.

I realize you are super busy but I just have a quick question - is F7K the last bios version I can use to OC non K on z170x gaming 7?

I've tried F7r and it doesn't work, even though microcode 74 is there. I even moded F22f with UBU to include microcode 74 but no go. Ideally I would like to use F22f.

    Have a good weekend!

Hi stasio and thanks for the suggestion but that does not work.

I was skeptical why 74 would work on all bioses before version F7k - but not on any version after. 6A or earlier DOES NOT work on any bios past F7K as per your suggestion - I have tried F7r and up. Looks like Gigabyte put a hard lock other then microcode in there.
    I've used latest UBU 1.69.5

Is this the end of the line or are there any later bioses past F7k?

    Thanks,
    Wojtek

Question Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

    Hello,
I have small problem with my motherboard. I have GIGABYTE Z68AP-D3 rev.1 and I've flashed your Ua9-mod uefi bios from this post GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS and I'm using Windows 10 x64 on GPT-UEFI. I have 2x 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM in DualChannel but it works as 1333Mhz. I cannot change this in bios, this option is disabled and set to 1333. I found in forum that I need to enable XMP but I cant find anywhere the XMP option. What should I do to enable 1600Mhz? Should I flash other bios? Which one?

    Screens from bios:
