Hello guys ! Anyone experiencing this problem maybe ?: Z370 HD3P board, F6c BIOS, Win 10 - I can set CPU fan (4 pin connector) speed in BIOS as desired and everything works fine until I put PC to sleep. After waking up from sleep CPU fan speed goes to 100%. It's speed readings are missing form SIV (app shows 0 RPM) and other monitoring software like HWMonitor. The only way I can slow down fan is to set counter-intuitively SIV "Smart Fan 5 Auto" to "Full Speed" ! But it's not a perfect solution, since after full restart SIV will set FAN to Full Speed upon windows boot. Other two fans in the case (Fractal R5) are controlled by case hub - so no issue here. Any ideas guys ?

Gigabyte posted a number of X99 updates this past week for Spectre/Meltdown, so check your boards.

Gigabyte updated his bios to new microcode but.. what version? there are now 2 microcodes to fix spectre, the last one was released to solve reboots and i think gigabyte bios are updated to the first one.

Good question. Date listed in my particular BIOS is Jan 1x (somewhere in the early teens 12-14, can't remember which). At this point, it's running without issue nor significant performance impact.

    Hello,
I have small problem with my motherboard. I have GIGABYTE Z68AP-D3 rev.1 and I've flashed your Ua9-mod uefi bios from this post GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS and I'm using Windows 10 x64 on GPT-UEFI. I have 2x 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM in DualChannel but it works as 1333Mhz. I cannot change this in bios, this option is disabled and set to 1333. I found in forum that I need to enable XMP but I cant find anywhere the XMP option. What should I do to enable 1600Mhz? Should I flash other bios? Which one?

    Screens from bios:

    EDIT:
I have found that I can change memory multiplier directly from keyboard in bios. I've set it to 16.00 and memory frequency is now 1600 but RAM is still running with 1333Mhz what can I see in main page or in CPU-Z. Here you can see:

I think it's because I can't find XMP option in that bios. FYI: I've tried 3 other bios for U1a from this topic and I've not found XMP option in any of them. Any help @stasio ?

Hello guys, I currently have a Z170X UD3 Gigabyte motherboard since Augst 2016, on bios F5d for overclocking the non K CPU (the one recommended for my board on overclocking.guide). It has always shown to be unstable from times to times, the OC would just kill itself randomly.

I would like to know what was the latest bios that allowed non K CPU overclock on this board ? Tried to patch manually the microcode of some of them but didnt get any success. Thanks in advance

Well, seems gigabyte update z370/x299 bios to last microcode for spectre, example: aorus Z370 gaming 7 with first microcode is bios F5l (09/01/2018) and the current on webpage is f5m (22/01/2018) with same changelog as f5l and they removed F5l on webpage. Same on all Z370/X299 chipset motheboards.

I hope they do the same on 270/170/x99 chipsets.

The latest Z77X-UD5H v1.0 F16J beta BIOS has a pretty significant bug where if I set the multiplier to 44 and above multiplier, the CPU core voltage is significantly higher than what I have set in the BIOS. Without performing any CPU voltage changes, changing the multiplier from 43 to 44 causes the CPU voltage to go from 1.164V under load to 1.3XV under load, per CPU-Z. The temperatures reflect that too, as load temps jump from 67C to around 85C. Can someone from Gigabyte, or a forum member fix this?
