Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Does anybody know if the F10A bios for the z390 aorus master improves ram compatibility? I recently built a 9900k build and I can't run my ram at it's rated speed of 3600mhz. I get random crashes when gaming and prime95 fails almost instantly . I can however use the 2nd xmp profile for my ram which clocks the ram at 3000mhz and my system is stable. I'm considering flashing the bios, but from what I have read, it's risky and should only be done if something is very wrong and you know for sure flashing the bios will fix it. This is also a new build with fresh windows 10 install and everything is stock.
This is my system:
9900k
z390 aorus master
2x8GB 3600 DDR4 hyperx memory
1080ti
850w seasonic prime gold
windows 10 home

This BIOS was actually made to improve RAM compatibility. Little risk these days flashing a BIOS unless your power goes out during the flash.

Hi Kedarwolf, do you have the f10a bios installed? Can you check your bios ram timings to see what the max tRC setting is? On mine it is 64. The reason I ask is because I think that this is the reason why my ram won't work at 3600mhz. The xmp profile for my ram uses a tRC setting of 85 while the bios only goes up to a max of 64.

Goes up to 127 for me, did you scroll with the arrow keys? But tRC should be tRAS+tRP.
