    Ya, I kinda thought you would have to use one or the other. I find the onboard to work very well with several sets of speakers I have.

    Did you enable the dolby as well? It is in the control panel, sounds, configure HD Audio properties

    Sorry for the delay, I've been really busy lately with work. :(

    I did not enable Dolby. I don't have the speaker set-up for it. It's technically a 5.1 system but it doesn't have rear satellites (the "rear" speakers are mounted to the front ones and canted so in an ideal situation the sound bounces off the walls and hits me from behind - my living room is not an ideal situation). When I turn on full surround the sounds that are supposed to be behind me are extremely quiet and don't sound at all like they're coming from behind. So generally, I just set it to 2-speaker or use my headphones.
    Capslock is cruise control for cool!

    Ahh, just wondered if you seen it was available, I enable it and it seems better. But then again I use 2 speakers myself so it could be my imagination as I dont even use them much

    Set your own settings would be a good start. Set static tRead and driving strengths and then try to bring static tread down to 6-7 and see if it boots and is stable. That is about all you can do except overclock more
