Default GA-EP45-UD3P Major cold boot issues

OK, built me a new system around this board here's the specs:

    E7200
    Visiontek HD 4870 512MB
    OCZ XTC Gold PC2-6400 2X2GB
    ASUS Xonar
    BFG LS 680W PSU
    300GB Velociraptor main drive
    Seagate 7200.11 1TB data drive
    LG 22X DVD burner
    Coolermaster HAF 932 case

PC hates to boot cold. If I take out the soundcard it will usually boot but there are times that even that doesn't help. Once it warms up it will boot as is and run perfectly. I never had a BSOD and I am running everything stock speeds. BIOS is the latest release as well because the board had corruption issues when I got it.

Creative X-FI titanium HD w/Technics class A 300W amp and tower speakers
    PC P&C 500W PSU
    2TB Seagate

Ya know the drill, lets see your settings. Likely you just need some voltage and or timings adjusted (Auto is not going to work well with 2x2) >>>>

Now normally I understand the need for adjusting settings in bios. The part I am still quite unhappy about is that I cannot get this thing to even post most of the time. Stock settings, optimized settings loaded, settings changed , etc. I have been OCing for years and understand quite well what does what and I have done the usual adjustments. I want to know what changing stuff has to do with the fact my PC will post without my sound card but will post without it installed.

X-FI PCI card? I dont know anything about cards, but I do know I have seen a few users with PCI Card issues. Often these are older cards

Actually, it's a Xonar. Besides that, it doesn't even like to post without the sound card in. It just sits there doing a whole lot of nothing. What is aggravating me more than anything is the fact it just does not want to post worth a damn no matter what I do. I even changed my ram for some completely different types of sticks to no avail. My guess is either the voltage circuits cannot handle my hardware or the bios does not like my E7200.

PS: You have my respect Lsdmeasap. I have yet to see ANYONE that represents any company as active in trying to help people as you are.

Ahh, well that is one card I have seen people suggest is ok. Well at least a model of that card, not sure which. But since you have issues without it, maybe something else like you said is to blame.

What settings are you using? I know you said you know all about them, but maybe I can help?

Thanks for the kind words, I do try to help all I can for sure

casecutter, I had the same problem with randomly not posting, as well as taking forever to post with 2 different ones from my local Microcenter.

Went with the GA-EP45-DS3R. Works perfectly.
