    Did you ever check your Vtt at stock and be sure ref voltages were correct? I mean set vtt to stock and then see in easytune to be sure vtt was actually 1.2? If it is not then you have to manually set ref voltages and vtt to compensate for the difference. This means for example if you set vtt to stock (At stock speed) or 1.2 and easytune shows you 1.26 for example you will need to adjust vtt to 1.8 and then set ref voltages accordingly back to what they should be

    Ya, you could have very easily damaged your CPU already. Are you still using 333 MCH latch? If so that may be why you think you need the high Vtt. I say lower ram timing and freq because you are killing your CPU trying to run 333 MCH with high ram speed, you can use 400 MCH latch with much less voltages and still run high ram speed

    333 MCH will only be stable up to 399 FSB after that you have to start adding Alot of other voltages to keep it stable

    C1E should be disabled because you are overclocking and when it activates (Such as almost all the time) your voltages will be outta whack and cause things to fail. Could be another reason you need so much Vtt

    Vtt affects both the CPU FSB and Freq and Att the ref. voltages (They all change when you move vtt)

    Ya, your overclocking thoughts are very good, but I just think you are trying to much of all things combined. I think your main issue with Vtt (If your CPU is not damaged) may be you trying to run 333 MCH at a 400+ FSB. You should work on 400 MCH with 2.66 Multi if you want high ram speed (Static Tread will have to be 9-10)

    I see you said you tried lower memory multi above 2.0 and 2.4 (I assume since you said 2.4 you are still looking at the 333 MCH Latch 2.40B, that is why I again said a few times you need to use 400 MCH latch (Or auto MCH latch and the D memory multi's)

    I'm on 400 MCH latch with 2.66 multi now, yes.
    When i tried the 400 latch with 2.0 multi things reacted exactly the same.
    And i did try auto latch with 2.4 multi, not realizing it ment that the latch switched to 333 automatically then. *bumping head on desk*

    EZTune gives me the same values as my bios.

    Your help permitted me to lower the vtt from 1.56 to 1.44, witch is a lot of difference, but i cant get it lower, not even with lower fsb and/or cpu multiplier.
    Once i get over 400 fsb i need to raise the vtt very quickly, even with the latch at 400.

    Maybe my cpu is damaged, but i don't see any difference in benchmarks.....
    Not that i bench a lot, mostly game benchmarks which are not made to make full use of cpu anyway.
    Well, i will stay as it is for the moment (i'll fiddle around a little with the different timings to make it 100% stable and maybe a little bit faster), with the release of the i7 and AMD Shanghai the core2 processors will be a lot cheaper soon so if it dies on me i can get a faster one for cheap, and it will be an E0 stepping whitch should clock a little higher :D
    Too bad tho that i cant make full use of my mainboards potential, it being stable with an fsb of 520mhz+

    Thanks a lot for your help and advise, i'll post my final settings here when i found the perfect compromise.

    Well, i put all memory timings on the tightest you proposed and it seems stable.
    Gained 50 3Dmark06 points compared with my initial 500x8 (reminder 450x9 now)
    Thats not much (on 19500 scale) but kinda proofs to me that less fsb doesn't mean less results.
    Continue finetuning...

    Check your volts as Turbo on perf. enh. changes what you set. I would also use memset to look at your ram timings as turbo may set them looser then you are setting them manually and it will be overridden since you have it set that way
