    Default GA-EP45-DS4P overclocking request

    Hello:

    being a gigabyte freak; I am thrilled to no end to find this forum!


    I have my board overclocked to 3.8 ghz with 2 x 2 gigs Corsair Dominator 1066mhz ram

    ultra 120 extreme cooler

    cant seem to get any higher ...... want 4.0ghz

    could you please post the settings I can try ........ I have the F8 bios and its been set to load optimized defaults and then manually adjusted

    Please post your CPU and a link to your exact ram if you can please. Then fill this out with what you are using for 3.8 and I will try to help you get 4Ghz. >>>>

    not sure how to use the template

    only settings I am changing in MIT is

    cpu host = 430 mhz

    Performance = Turbo

    memory = 2.00 D

    ram is 5-5-5-15

    voltages are stock

    Ok! Copy/Paste is how you fill out that template. Your performance enhance setting is what it holding you back. You will have to use 900 Ram speed or 2.66D for 1197, I will post for 900 now. Or you could use 8x500 and 2.00D for 1000

    ^^^ Since you are using less the stock speed @900, you may be able to use 544-12 or 544-15 ^^^

    Use all highest values first below, then later you can lower one at a time testing as you go with memtest86+
