    Default EP45-DS3L and Crucial Ballistix PC6400

    I just got this motherboard today to replace one that died on me and I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting my memory to work. I have 4 1GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 (P/N BL12864AA804) which have worked great for me for the past year. When I put them in this board, all I get is a series of short beeps (power error?) I borrowed some other non-Crucial PC6400 memory from a friend and that works fine. I also put my memory in another machine and it still seems to work fine. I have tried upping the voltage (these are the older 2.2 sticks), manually setting the timings and switching out the sticks in all possible permutations to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

    4x1 you need to add some MCH Voltage. Set 1.24-1.3 MCH Voltage, performance enhance to standard, and set your ram voltage to 2.1 (2.2v is not usually needed)

    Be sure static Tread is not set to low set to 7-9 for 333 MCH (9-12 for 400 MCH)

    Also be sure trfc is set to 52-62 or so.

    You can set all this with two of the crucials in or your other working sticks then save and shut down and put in the Crucials again

    I set all of those suggested settings but as soon as I try to put ANY of the sticks in (one by itself, two in a pair or two with the other two sticks of non-Crucial) it gives me the "power error" beep code and will not finish post.

    Well those suggestions are for 2x2 or 4x1. So please be trying that config.

    What are the full settings you are trying to use? >>>>
