Hmm, that does sound a bit warm especially for stock, I idle at 36 at 4Ghz . What cooler are you using? You sure you did not use to much paste

HD Sound, what is your issues with it?

Yeah its the stock E8500 cooler and yeah put a tiny dot and spread thin across the heatsink base, it's prolly the room temps that dont help can get hot in here during the day.

Ah my sound issue is my other thread, prolly seen that :) hope your feeling better.

I was just wanting to check that my static tread set at 7 and the SMM set to 4.00B was ok?

Ahh, yeah ambient temps do for sure make things worse. Hey, do you have a older 65NM cpu heatsink? They are better because they have the large copper core in them? Justa thought

Ya, that is ok as long as you are stable. Anything is as long as it is stable enough for you to consider stable

Thanks, Ya I feel better today for sure!

These would be optimal ranges for your ram using the 333/B Strap>>>>

    Standard Timing Control
    CAS Latency Time........................ 9
    tRCD ......................................... 9/10
    tRP'........................................... 9/10
    tRAS.......................................... 20/24/25

    Advanced Timing Control
    tRRD........................................... 3-5
    tWTR..........................................3-7
    tWR............................................ 6-12
    tRFC........................................... 52-70
    tRTP........................................... 3-7
    Command Rate (CMD) ....................: 2

    Driving Strength Profiles
    Driving Strength ............................ 1066-1333

    Channel A & B
    Static tRead Value.........................: 7-10

But you might as well just save up and get a good cooler that is non stock like Thermalright Ultra 120, Xigmatek 120, Tuniq Tower or something like that. How much do you have saved now?

Are you using ther latest BIOS? If so, did you load and apply optimized after you flashed?

Did you try the hotkey? ON the MAIN page of the BIOS hit control + F1 and then go into MIT and look and see if you find it on any of the pages

Hey if cash is no problem maybe you should get you a ThermalRight ot Xigmatek if Thermalright wont fit in your case

Yeah flashed to F3 using USB HDD method, I used the Cntrl F1 and it comes up with a message manual setting something but doesnt appear to be a setting for Driver Strength profiles, I press Ctrl F1 in the main screen yeah.

I have an Antec900 so most Coolers will fit :) just looking around for a good price.

Havent messed with the ram settings yet will wait a while, but seems like I'm stable atm so thanks.

What message? If you get a red box message when you go into MIT then your settings were wrong, and are not being used, defaults will be loaded. The hotkey should not bring up any message and should unhide any hidden settings (Such as a few in the PnP/PCI page, and any in MIT that may have been hidden
