    Default GA-X48-DS4 settings

I have this board, paired with an E8400 and Kingston HyperX 1066 (4 x 1).

    Here are my bios settings:

    Robust Graphics Booster___________ [Turbo]
    CPU Clock Ratio ____________ [8]
    Fine Clock Ratio ____________[0.5]
    CPU Host Clock Control_ [Enabled]
    CPU Host Frequency (MHz)__________ [471]
    PCI Express Frequency (Mhz)_______ [100]
    C.I.A. 2__________________________ [Disabled]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)____ [2.40B] = 1130Mhz ram speed
DRAM Timing Selectable_______ SPD __ [Manual]

    Performance Enhance = [Standard]

    CAS Latency Time________________5
    Dram RAS# to CAS# Delay_________6
    Dram RAS# Precharge Delay_______6
    Precharge Delay (tRAS)__________ 15

    ACT to ACT Delay (tRRD)_________[Auto]
    Rank Write to READ Delay________[Auto]
    Write to Precharge Delay_________ [Auto]
    Refresh to ACT Delay______________[62]
    Read to Precharge Delay__________ [Auto]
    Static tRead Value_______________7
    Static tRead Phase Adjust________[Auto]

    CPU/PCIEX Clock Driving Control [800mV]
    CPU Clock Skew Control [Normal]
    GMCH Clock Skew Control [150Ps]

    System Voltage Control____ [Manual]
    DDR2 OverVoltage Control__ [+0.400V] = 2.2V
    PCI-E OverVoltage Control_ [Normal]
    FSB OverVoltage Control___ [+0.1V]
    (G)MCH OverVoltage Control [+0.175V]
    CPU Voltage Control_______ [1.33xxx]
    Loadline Calibraton________[Enabled]

I am wondering about the GMCH Clock Skew Control. Is 150Ps safe? And what does it do? I found out that many people have this setting like on 100 or 150 and I did that, does the magic trick, 4Ghz seems stable for now. I am at 1.312V at idle and at 1.296V on load

I will mess around with the Ram timings, they are like that just temporarily now.

Skew adds some stability sometimes. CPU and MCH can help get a higher or more stable FSB, you just have to try different settings. Any amount will not hard your hardware though so dont think of it like a voltage or anything like that

I can give you full timings if you would like, if so let me know
