    Default Looking to improve Overclock on an extreme.

    I have a EX58-Extreme with 965. I can clock the system to 4Ghz but it needs 1.500 to be stable.

    What do I need to get it to go higher?

    CPU 1.5V
    Everything else is set to Auto.

    EX58-Extreme,
    Intel I7 965,
    Corsair HX1000 Watt PSU,
    6x2GB Patriot Ram running at 1600 7-7-7-20 @ 1.9v XMP Profile1
    2x 300GB Velociraptor, (Intel Raid 0 SATA ports 0&1)
    2x 1TB Seagate (Gigaraid 0 port 2_1 & 2_2)
    2x 280GTX BFG (Single Slot profile)
    X-FI PCI Soundcard under PCI-E 16_2
    LG HD Player/ Bluray burner sata port 4
    Liteon Bluray Player sata port 5

    Clk is at 30x133
    Thermal protection is off everything else is default.
    Runs prime 24/7 peak temp is 89c

    Not to really mess with your thread or anything but do you REALLY need it higher??

    i suggest you to try with higher qpi and less multi, i no think is needed more than 1.35v for 4 ghz

    You using vista x64 ? Can run easytune 6 ? Your hardware just same as mine.
