    Default Random Startup procedure

Im currently using a GA-EP45-UD3P with only one gig of ram installed at the moment, running XP with a Q6600.

The problem I have been having is it takes about 5-20 seconds to post and sometimes will not post at all. Then randomly will freeze at XP user login. I can not for the life of me figure out why it would be doing this. -.-

And as well my CPU fan does not power the CPU fan, however a system fan will power the CPU fan.

Any help is appreciated, new member and you guys come off as a knowledgeable and helpful community.

What do you mean by BIOS setting, the version?

And actually what's happning is the CPU fan will spin for 1-2 seconds and then stop.

And theres still the fact it randomly will not boot up at all.

your Bios setting .. ram, timing , vcore ... ect .. those stuff ... if your doesn't set right then it won't boot into window ... and did you test your ram yet ??? run memtest86+ ... need to make sure your ram is ok first.... also did you hook up 8 pin power to the board? .. right on top left of CPU ?
