    It may be overheating after long game use, or as you said the game could just be changing.

    Yes there is many tools to bench your GPU, Furmark would be a good one as would lightsmark. Several here, see post #3 >>>

    GPU overclock: i personally have never had success over clocking any GPU that i have ever owned over 5%. from crashin games to weird artifects anything can happen with an over clocked GPU.

    i would start at 2% and see how that goes.

    take (1.02) x (your stock GPU) = (stock plus 2%).

    EX: 1.02 x 600 = 612

    do the same for your ram. on a stock cooler i would think 3 to 4 % is your max. and even though your temps may be ok you can still crash games with over clocked GPU.

    5% would be 1.05 x 600 = 630

    alright thanks for the help. its been apprieciated so much. i noticed one weird thing, in cpuz my core multiplier and core speed dont show the corrent number unless the pc is under load. is this the actual speed it is? some kind of power saving mech. just curious.

    have you turned off CPU Enhanced halt (C1E) and CPU EIST Function in the Bios :)

    oh just noticed you multiplier is at 6???

    oh ok was wondering why. is there any benifit of having it turned off ?besides the fact that it will always be at at full speed even when uneeded.

    easier to OC ... basicly that all.. once you done your OC to the point you want ... do try to turn it on again ... and if it is stable .. then use it .. will save electricity
