    Default EP45-UD3P Bios settings

    Hi Lsdmeasap & Masters,

    I've just built up my new rig with the following parts:

    1.EP45-UD3P mobo
    2.Intel E8400 E0 processor
    3.Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5D
    4.GV-485OC-1GB
    5.Gigabyte Superb720 PSU
    6.Seagate 500GB 7200rpm sata HDD
    7.Deepcool Killer Whale CPU Cooler

    Note 1: i'm looking forward to reach 533mhz x 7.5 for my cpu so i can make it 1:1 with my dominator @ stock timings. Your advice on bios settings is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Tried 533Mhz x 7.5 @ 3.99Ghz with Pi @ 32M with success but failed Orthos & Prime in few minutes. Wonder whats wrong with my settings.

    hi lsdmeasap, couldn't get stable with 533mhz with the settings, i think i'll give 444mhz x 9 = 3996, any recommendations? btw 1.4vcore shows 1.376 in cpu-z

    Hmm, for 444 FSB you can use 2.00D ram speed, and use Much tighter timings (444-12 or 544-12)

    You should not need more then 1.34 or less for 4Ghz, what Vtt were you trying? I guess, try what you are mentioning and if you have issues post me what you used fully that fails and I will advise

    I have my Gigabyte ep45-ud3p running at 533Mhz with an e8400 (4Ghz, 7.5x) with the RAM 1:1 (DDR2 1066).
    It took a lot of tweaking, but its running rock solid.
    The voltages and temperatures are all within sane limits.

    I did the voltages manually based on what I read online.
    Had to bump the memory controller voltage a bit (to get the PCI-E working fully), and had to add some CPU clock slew.

    If you want me to post my BIOS settings let me know.

    You will probably want to slowly increase the voltage/clock slew/clock drive until it becomes stable.
    For me, it passed prime95 and intel burnin test, and plenty of gaming.

    The mobo / mch (northbridge) temps seem fine even with the voltage bump.
    Probably because of the great heat-pipes on this board.
    When the voltage wasn't high enough, or there wasn't enough clock slew/drive... My ATI driver would only come up with a generic driver ( no high-res or 3d ).

    I tried > 4Ghz, but it seemed the voltage/temps I would have to push to make it stable were out of my comfort zone.
    Don't blame me if you destroy your machine!
