I stressed the cpu again with prime after uping some voltages and now i failed in 1 hour and 8 minutes. Any ideas :(

1.23 for 3.6 is little low ... if you run small prime95 ... core 4 fail then need more voltage ....
and if you run blend ... then more likely the ram ...
i'm having the same problem on blend .. still tweaking it ... got better but not 100% yet ... good luck

Thanks godto, Yeah the Vcore was to low so i raised that up to 1.25 and i have been running prime for 6hours with no errors. So far so good i guess. There is always a chance for the cpu to take a dump on me though. I will test more in the future im done for now all this tweaking is making my head hurt. :) I will keep you guys updated with future errors and more tests and i will post all the bios info too for other people that could possibly use the info with a similar setup.

Well you should also test your ram with this Memtest86+ >>>
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

It runs in DOS and not windows. I only use the HCI Memtest (if that is what you are using) in windows once I pass the other Memtest86+ linked above

I would have suggested a bit more vcore as well likely. You may or may not be able to use 1.23, what was your other voltages like Vtt (Termination) and PLL and MCH?

Hi lsd thanks for the link on the memtest86, i will check the other voltages right now and be back soon.

Anytime! So how long did you let the above mentioned prime95 test run?

Oh and is it necessary to have CPU EIST Function and CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) Disabled? I noticed that when these are disabled im constantly running at max cpu speed and FSB. Im not sure if thats bad for the cpu.

Yes, you will want those disabled. It is MUCH MUCH Harder to overclock and get stable otherwise because the Board decides your voltages when it drops the multi and volts. Your CPU will be fine as long as your temps are good

What are your temps at load by the way?

Well your Vtt can likely come down, normally this is fine 0.1V less then Vcore and often less then that. More then vcore is not needed, and for sure not suggested

You may be able to lower these a but still, but it will take some time and testing with Memtest86+ And of course not all of these may work together at the lowest so it will be a long tweaking process to find which can go lower and be stable and which cannot >>>

    tRRD...........................................4 << try 3
    tWTR..........................................4 << try 3
    tWR............................................7 << try 4-6
    tRFC...........................................56 << try 46/48-50
    tRTP...........................................4 << Try 3
    Command Rate (CMD) ....................:2

    Driving Strength Profiles
Driving Strength ............................1066 << Benchmark 800 and 1200 as well as this to see which gives better results

You can leave it running while you sleep, and you can use your system while it runs. So just leave your PC on until it is 24 hours or it fails. Then you know if you ae fully stable or not. You may also test with Intel Burn Test

At full load the highest i have seen is 58 55 55 55 thats in windows with the program Coretemp. CoreTemp always seems to show me higher temp readings and programs like everest ultimate have shown 54 50 51 50 max loads. I also checked the temps in bios at boot up but of course its not underload but anyways it said 32 for cpu and mobo 32

Ok i will leave my pc on for 24 hours with prime95. How long should i run memtest86 to be sure im stable?
    Thanks for the advice!
