    Default Possible GA-EP43-DS3L Problem

    Hi there, would really want to have your opinions on this problem.

    My System:

    CPU Type QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, 2833 MHz (8.5 x 333)
    Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L (2 PCI, 4 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)
    Motherboard Chipset Intel Eaglelake P43
    System Memory 2048 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)
    DIMM1: Kingston 99U5315-037.A00LF 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)
    DIMM3: Kingston 99U5315-037.A00LF 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz)

    Problem is PC always reboots when encoding (no matter what i use to encode, virtualdub, mod, staxrip, megui etc..) even when CPU isn't at 90%-100% load. the pieces are brand new, no heating issue (temp never over 40C) installed XP with sp3 twice and still got this problem. ran memtest and got this error -




    Any way, how to get things the right way before i replace the memory sticks?

    Sorry about the late reply, got a bit behind here the past two days!

    What does memtest86+ show when you run it on each stick (5-10 passes) one by one at stock. That would be Manually set Main timings, manually set ram voltage, and performance enhance on standard? >>>

    Aside from that you likely do need some adjustments made in the BIOS is all if your ram is not faulty

    Please fill this out with what you are using and let me know how your single tests go and I will advise >>

    Please also link me to your exact ram if you can

    Ahh, you can bug me all you like! Here would be optimal settings for your ram with the above settings you gave >>>

    That is.... IF your ram tests out to be ok. If either stick fails you will need to RMA the set

    Actually the settings you give should work for sure. Auto is not the best, but is generally not a issue with only 2x1GB at 800Mhz. Unless your Static tRead is way low left in auto then you may have a faulty stick or sticks of ram
