Thread: EasyTune problems.

  1. #1

    Default EasyTune problems.

I just downloaded EasyTune 6 and it doesn't want to install. I get an AppCrash error from Vista Ult. x64 and when I continue I get a popup saying windows sockets initialization error.

Anyone got this to work on there system? I am using this on a X58 Extreme board.

No one? I was hoping that someone had something for me. A beta would even be fine.

My real issue is that my temp monitoring programs all givee different readings on my core volts. I was hoping that EasyTune would be more accurate.

I use SpeedFan, Everest Ult., and HWMonitor. I just put in RealTemp and it is off as well. lol

any help on temp monitors would be great!

They all report different results. I don't know which one to trust, if any?

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried and got the same results. Must be either a x64 issue or a X58 issue.

    Thanks for the help

All windows updates and Intel Chipset drivers must be installed, did you do all that?

    Core voltage, use CPU-z >>>
    CPUID

Temps, I use Everest and Realtemp

    *EDIT*

Likely X58 issue as I am using it in x64 Vista without issues, Latest here B8.1113.1 >>>

ok, I reloaded Vista Ult. x64 sp1 and it is working so far. I thought it may have been a sp2 issue so I installed EasyTune6 first thing. well, second thing, I needed to install my lan drivers to download it. But after installing sp2 it is still working fine.

    Thanks for all the help

It's not Vista 64 bit. I'm running Easytune6 now. I'm just trying to find a way to get it to stop popping up a UAC window asking for permission to start GUI.exe when I first log in.

I only installed the new ET. I just reinstalled Vista and it worked fine. It was an old hard drive that I used on my X38 board, then my P45 board, then my X48 board, then finally my X58 board. Just too many driver changes on 1 install - lol.

The only way I know is to disable UAC.

    Good luck
