    Default Help to reach 4 GHZ + UD3P

    Trying to reach 4.0GHZ to use 24/7. Now i`m running at 3.6GHz no problem (didn`t run strees for many hours, only 1 hour and got temps around 50 C, no errors)

    I readed many topics but they always are incomplete or the settings are not ok. So i decided edit one old post mine to get help with this first overclock on Intel system.

    what CPU are you running ???? .. it is importance to know .. dual and quad run little different

    i would try to raise the "MCH reference" to like 1.24

    Then leave the MCH/Dram reference on "Auto" as all of the mem references when on Auto are (1/2) what your Dram voltage is

    I edit the post with my system specifications.

    Before i read yours answers, i got my memory working, i pass 1time memtest86+ all test and no errors, but i don`t know if this mean stability, i saw other people running for many hours...

    I updated my post with current settings on bios.

    And now to overclock my system, what next?

    On memtest86+, I always have best fast results by manually selecting test "5" or "7" and letting this run for at least 4hrs. Also I have found in the past that memset stable is not windows stable.

    Your best bet is to run Prime 95 or OCCT for at least 4hrs to determine if its stable.

    You should not have to run the Dram voltage that high for stock memory speed/timings. I would lower it to 2.06 as thats what my OCZ 2x2GB is working fin w/, then run memtest again try test 5 or test 7 for a couple hours.

    Also on the "Driving strength" try auto for now also

    More MCH core!

    Also are you using ET6 to OC? as it will raise some voltages too high if they are left on auto.
