Exclamation Help! EP45-UD3P Stuck MCH Voltage

    Hi Guys,

Got this board new and I after a day I just noticed this problem.

Any MCH Core Value above 1.460v will cause the mobo to boot twice and then stop on a black screen. Sometimes with a power down I can get into bios and see the red screen bad OC even with stock settings and only touching the MCH Core...

I clear cmos and get in setup setting any value from 1-1.460v is fine but after that is a no go.

Anyone know what may be causing this.
Tried to flash new bios, clear cmos, different ram etc nothing helps.

Indeed never saw this before and I am on this road for a long time. Tried everything today again even updating to different BIOSes didn't solve.

I'll RMA it (still under the store 30 days warranty).

    With a 1.440v MCH I can't go any higher on my OC's ;-(

But it's a freaking solid board broke all the Q9650 records with it yesterday morning @5095Mhz.

Still ave the problem and now I can confirm that it only happens with 2 x 2Gbs sticks on 2:40 strap.

    When I use 2 x 1Gb sticks it's fine I can set MCH voltage wherever I want.

    Hello,

i have the same Problem look here:

    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/p45-...problem-30021/

But its more bad for me, because i cant boot over 1,2V MCH-Core!

Have you tested the yellow and the red slot? Is there a difference?

Yes I have, no difference and this is a mistery to Gigabyte itself I think.

1Gb Sticks are fine 2Gb are restricted on 2:40 strap.

Have you tested different Modules? If yes, which exact?
I also write at xtremesystems.org, i find your posts their in the UD3P threat.

It seems, that no one has a solution for the problem.
