Default ? about current raid 0 setup

I just ran SiSoftware Sandra and got this message
Warning W3104 - Current transfer mode not optimal, i.e. not highest supported. This affects drive performance. If the controller is also capable of the highest supported transfer mode, there is no reason not to use it.
Fix: First check controller supported transfer modes. Then check the mode the driver for the controller/BIOS is set to use and modify; some default to a lower mode for compatibility. You may need to install newer drivers if the current drivers do not natively support the controller (especially for RAID). You may need to update the controller BIOS or drive firmware, if the mode does not stick. If data corruption occurs verify the cable and consider switching (if any) drives on the same channel onto other channels.
If the built-in controller does not support the mode, consider using the on-board/RAID controller or even disable the built-in controller and install a new controller.

could anyone tell me how to get the best proformance out of the raid 0 setup and what i need to change and where. Thanks for any help

You may not have Write Back Cache enabled, if not install the Intel Matrix Storage Software and then click here on your array and enable it as you see here. >>>

Show's disable in my image, but only because I have it enabled. You will see Enable as a choice, and yes it is not on by default

    Matrix Download (V. 8.6 Build 1007) >>>
IntelĀ® Matrix Storage ManagerĀ*Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager

By the way, which section or test of SiSandra told you this? I will assume the above is the cause as I do not get that info error on my setup in Physical Disk Info or Physical Disk Benchmark section

And as Suggested above you did install the Intel Chipset drivers as well right? If not let me know and I will link you to those too

Hmm, Odd! Ya your scores look normal (But looks like you do need a defrag maybe)

I just run the analysis on my setup and I do not get any such error in the logical drive area, that is where you see this error correct?

Are you using the latest Sisandra? This is the version I am using >>>

Yes, that is normal to see for sure. As for speeds I cant say for sure how good those are as I dont use those disks but that does look like a good average. You did check and remove any jumpers on the back of the drives correct? Just thinking out load as I also find that strange for you to have that error

What do you have set for this in Integrated Peripherals >>>
SATA RAID/AHCI Mode (Intel ICH10R Southbridge) ............. RAID
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode ................................... Enabled (or Disabled, both will work) << Not sure which would be best, but maybe this is causing your error? Try both ways and see if the error goes away

Your Standard CMOS page should look like this with RAID Setup, aside from the CD/DVD settings shown (Meaning NONE for Each Channel, then None/Auto inside for Hard drives) >>>

If you have those manually set to something else that could also be your issue.

Here is my scores for 2x250 and 3x250 (Red Long/Blue Short) for a comparison, as you see my 2x250 test is about 130MB/s for a short test which is likely what sandra uses >>>

    2x250 RAID 0 (160GB partition)

    3x250 RAID 0 (590GB Partition)

NO CD listed, do you have one?

Ya, you have your drives where I would put mine, port 0 and 1

Those look like great scores! So I think maybe it could just be a random vista/your board/Sandra error. I do see some funky errors in Sandra myself sometimes with Various things between boards and Sandra Versions.

Scores are good, so I would ignore the error myself!
