Ahh well I just wondered about the Budget build, no biggie at all. Just thought I would say that info to ya incase maybe they told you it was a "Great Overclocker" or Superb Setup, ya know what I mean I think. Alot of people are out to Rob people these days so I just wanted to be sure you knew that was all budget hardware, just incase ya know.

What does the timings on the sticker say? I would assume it should be 555-15 or 555-18 @ 1066Mhz right? You can adjust that for sure

CPU-z only shows in the Memory Tab the Timings in use, so ya what you see in the BIOS should match as that is what is set.

If you look in the SPD tab of CPU-z you should see a 533 profile that would show your stock spec timings for 1066mhz

Thanks for the kind words, I try to help when I can for sure!

    Hiya dude,

RE: budget build and being robbed, I personally believe they could have used better parts in place of some of the ones they used. I have since looked up the prices on the net for the parts they used and well the prices they have put on their invoice don't match the prices the parts can be bought for on-line. The problem is I have only looked into this now and not 3 months ago when the PC was built so its a little late to do much if anything at all about it. They have just lost any future custom and I will replace bits over time as i have the memory.
    CPUZ reads for 533mhz 5-5-5-15 trc 22 cr 2T voltage 2.1.

I have set the timing to 5-5-5-15 as it says on the sticker which is on the ram. A strange thing though when i put the memory in and switched on it said the timings were 5-7-7-24 ! in my bios it shows the defaults along side the actual settings so i have 5-7-7-24 and along side that my settings of 5-5-5-15.
I don't profess to anything at all about timings and the configs of a system but arnt these timings alittle strange?
also why does it say its running at 533MHz I know i`m probably being dumb here but i thought it would read 1066MHz.

    Inabit Dude

What you see on the left in the BIOS is only what has been used in the past, or may be being used right then. What you see on the right however is the timings that are for sure set right then and being used

DDR2 is Double Data Rate thus 533x2=1066

Please post me a image of your Memory Tab in CPU-z and I will let you know if things are working correctly. You should see 555-15 there, but if you have 577-24 on the right in your BIOS that is what is being used and what you will see in the Memory Tab of CPU-z

    Hiya Dude,

Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to reply. I`ve been full of man flu, Here in the good ole UK the flu bug is doing its rounds.

the timings are reading on the right 5-5-5-15 on the left it reads 5-7-7-24 these are the figures that it picked up when the memory was first put in the pc. Am i wrong here or is it saying that the memory is still PC 5300?

    Catch ya laters man ;-)

Sorry to hear you got the Flu man! Wish you a quick recovery! Eat some soup!!!!

Post me some pics of CPU-z SPD tab. Some 800 and 1066 ram is really 5300, and some is 6400 for 1066.

Lets see some images, but looks like you may be ok from those EPP programmings above. If you do not see the EPP in CPU-z please try this Latest Memset 4.0 and click the SPD Tab and post a image of that >>>
