Default EP45-DS3+e8400 got problems with OC(everything+pictures of bios inside) please help

    Hi,

*Motherboard is EP45-DS3 and NOT EP34-DS3>>> Wrong typing, sorry.

I am trying to reach 4.0 Ghz (or more) with E8400
Hoping to get a nice guide for what i wish (4.0Ghz Minimum, but i will glad to go for the maximum i can, with a stable system ofcorse)

    Picture from CPU-Z and OCCT:

    Here are my pc info:

    Motherboard:
EP45-DS3 (F8- in the beggining it was F3 but after the BIOS update it changed)

Prossesor:(after the OC the temperature stands on 29-31celsius
, and when playing, doing OCCT tests it is something around 45-50celsius
    ,mostly on 45-47celsius )
    E8400 3.0Ghz (3.69Ghz correctly)

I bought a cooling as well(Artic cooling Freezer 7 Pro)

    Ram:
    G.skill 4096 ram 800Mhz CL5 ( 5 5 5 15 )

Please give us a link to your ram so we can check voltages. Here is A optimal range for 4Ghz, the CPU voltage needed will of course all be up to your board and chip >>>

    First of all, thank you.

I cant find my ram on the site but i got the packet and it says (on the back):
    F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ
    DDRII800 PC2-6400
    2048MB x 2
    CL5-5-5-15 1.8-1.9V

Anyway they are look like same as this one do:

*i tryied to put the setting as you told, but if i do, my computer wont start..
I mean it turn on and off like every 3-5 secounds.
    Anything i should do?
    * also about hte functions you told me to change, some of them i dont have,
    Such as :
"CPU Reference2………,,0.800V*.......:<<< .67% Of Vtt (Termination above) Auto Will set this correctly "

    And
    "ICH Core…………...……1.100V............: <<< 1.1x-1.2"

    And
    "Integrated Peripherals
Legacy USB Storage Detect ..............[Disabled] *Note* Must be enabled to flash from USB"

Also i didnt understand what you mean by telling "tRD Phase0 Adjustment...................:<<< Leave for all below as well"?
On this function i have Auto.. so i leave it on Auto with all the rest

+i cant change the Voltage Type, it is on Normal right now.

**** Sorry for double post i didnt noticed :S i thoug i am editing

So these correct, thanks for the Model # that was all I needed >>
    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

So in the above settings I gave all you need to change would be the 2.0-2.1V ram voltage, I will edit that now for anyone who looks this up later

You can ignore any setting I gave that your BIOS does not have, not all have all settings.

You do however have the Legacy USB Setting, it is in the Integrated Peripherals BIOS page not the MIT Section is all.

Yes, all below Static tRead for Each channel leave or set each one to Auto.

As for why your board would not post for you and keep rebooting, I cant help you find out why without knowing what you set for settings. I gave a range of settings, so Without you posting to me what you used I cannot advise back. So please do give me the exact settings you are trying that fail and I will advise back what you should try using or changing

Ok, Ya you cant use the lowest settings right off the bat! Try these using the higher values you see above same as noted here. Then you can slowly lower them. You may also need to use some higher voltages to start with.

Please do read my note about that Ref. Voltage you manually set as those are changed by other settings and you really should leave all Ref. Voltage on Auto unless you know what you are doing

Ok i go to try it now, ill edit when im finish.
    thank you ;)

    Edit:

It failds aswell :( same problem, the computer shut down/on every 3 secounds untill he restart all the bios setting to normal.

    Anything i can do?

"CPU Reference2………,,0.800V*.......:<<< .67% Of Vtt (Termination above) Auto Will set this correctly --Auto"

    I dont have this function

    Edit No2:

    http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=0018pq5.jpg

As you can see Channel A and B doesnt start in the same functions.. should i keep the different functions as they are? maybe this is the problem.

You can ignore that setting as well, Not all boards have all settings I post in Templates.

Channel A & B should match as I noted above. Put ALL those Driving Pull downs, ect in the driving strength page to Auto and set driving strength profile to 1066 for both channels

Should look like this for both >>>

Everything under static tRead Value should also be set to Auto for Both channels. As you see here >>>

Yes that is a huge problems with things the way you have it

Static tREAD on 10 as you told before right?
going to try it back in 2 minutes with results.

    Edit:

It doesnt work, the computer shutted down himself than he come back with the defaults setting.
