    4x1 puts a lot more strain on the Northbridge, and limits the overclocking to a point due to system stress as FSB and ram speed increases, but 2x2 also limits things in a way due to density of the IC Chips

    But overall 2x2 would be the better choice.

    That is a good kit of G.Skill

    Not that I suggest these as I have never used them or the brand, I use Only Mushkin myself, but I found this in my email the other day and it is free so you may want to look at that as well >>>

    Thanks. Those links are ddr-800, which I am currently running. They are also 2x1gb. If anything I'm looking for 1066 and 2x2gb.

    I ended up getting a WD Velociraptor 300gb 10k hd. I think overall I will notice improvements with that, then upgrading form ddr2 800 to ddr2 1066 ram.

    Hmm, Shoulda went for RAID with two cheaper disks instead!

    Good luck with that raptor though, should be better then a ram upgrade I would think as well
