The default Vcore is set by your CPU VID nothing to do with the board

Gotta link to your ram? You just wanted advice about the above settings right, I think so?

I would make these changes for 4x1GB (DO NOT OVERCLOCK with Vtt or PLL in Auto) >>>

    Advanced Timing Control
    tRRD...........................................4 << Can use 3
    tWTR..........................................5 << Can maybe use 3-4
    tWR............................................6 <<< Maybe 4-5
tRFC...........................................42 << For SURE 48-54 (Normally 52-62 for 2x2, so you may need 52 or so)

    tRTP...........................................5 << Can use 3
    Command Rate (CMD) ....................:2

    Driving Strength Profiles
    Driving Strength ............................800/1066 (Benchmark/Test Both)

    Channel A & B
Static tRead Value.........................:6 auto <<< If Memtest is failing you may need to use 7 here (Dependent on Strap/multi chosen 6/7-10 333/B MCH - 8/9-12 400/D MCH)

    Motherboard Voltage Control
Load Line calibration (disabled ) << Can be enabled

    MCH/ICH
    MCH Core…………….....1.100V.. auto << Set 1.2-1.24

    thanks mate
yeah i done some reading after posting last night about vcore an vid so i understand abit better now

here is a link to ram

    OCZ Technology | Products | Memory | OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Revision 2

"You just wanted advice about the above settings right, I think so?"

just trying to get this build as stable as possible as it will be used for music creation by my cousin so any advise regarding settings in the bios i will be grateful

    what is this mate ?

    i assume it's the

CPU Vcore............. 1.325v.. i have locked this at this setting
    and
CPU PLL .................1.500v.. i have locked this also

    is this correct ?

oops think i have messed this up abit lol

is the vtt = CPU termination voltage Its default is 1.200 should i lock this to it's default ?

CPU PLL .................1.500v.. is the default ans have set this manually

CPU termination voltage Its locked @1.200
    CPU PLL locked @1.500v
    CPU Vcore locked @ 1.325v

mate can you tell me why when i put the cpu vcore on auto the
core volage in cpuz shows at about over 1.4 and when i lock it to default
    1.325 its showing at 1.296 ?

Vtt is Termination, the rest you have correct. Now what you set them at all depends on your overclock, if any. If you are not overclocking you can leave them in Auto, if you are you will have to find and set your own stable setting

The above settings would be fine for your ram, and be sure to set your ram voltage to 2.0-2.1

Auto overvolts voltages is why you see over 1.4, and why Auto is not suggested. What you see when you set it manually vs what you see in windows is called Vdrop. It is by Intel Design that the voltage will be less then the BIOS Setting (Vdrop) and then even less then that at load (Vdroop) all normal

Ok Lsdmeasap i have locked the voltages as in my last post

    the q6600 has been overclocked from 266 x9 to 333x9 =3ghz

it seems ok from a quick 1 hour prime test and will be tested
for the rest of the night with prime

i done a 3 hour memtest with the memory setting you suggested and no error so all is good

thank you yet again for your help it is very much appreciated

Great to hear you are stable so far! Good job man!

Post back anytime if you have any issues, or would like to share your findings
