    Question GA-EP45-DS3L patriot memory setup

    Hi Everyone
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I need some help in setting my ram in bios. I bought a GA-EP45-DS3L mobo which I will get tomorrow from newegg. I already have my ram Patriot PVS24G6400LLK 2x2 4G the timing 4-4-4-12 and voltage is 2.1V. From what I have read you canít use auto for ram detection so I need some help with the bios setting for this ram. I donít want to overclock anything. I plan installing <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Vista</st1:place> 64 . The mobo I have in my system now is Intel DQ35JO which is give nothing but problem that why I am changing . I hope some one can help me, I never seen a board with so many bios settings.
    System
    E8400 cpu
    PVS24G6400LLK ram
    Evga 8500 video
    Thanks

You can use Auto, but it will generally error and for sure not be the best way. But yes, often it will not work at all.

I would suggest you use these settings as a starting point for stock >>>>

    Code:
    MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)
Robust Graphics Booster ...............: Auto or Fast
    CPU Clock Ratio ..........................: 9
    Fine CPU Clock Ratio.....................:.0
    CPU Frequency ...........................: 3.0

    Standard Clock Control
    CPU Host Clock Control..................: [Enabled]
CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) ............: 333Mhz
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) .........:Set to 100

    Standard Timing Control
    CAS Latency Time........................4
    tRCD .........................................4
    tRP'...........................................4

Set all Suggested below to highest Values first. Then later you can lower, one at a time, testing as you go

    Driving Strength Profiles
Driving Strength ............................800/1066 (Benchmark/Test both, set 800 now. I do find 1066 works better at 900, so you may want to try it first with 800)
