ya it jumped up to 58c after i increased my cpu pll to 1.57..

how do i check my vid?? core temp shows 1.25 but isnt that just the stock voltage of the cpu?

just ran prime blend for an hour - the longest it has gone ever!!

    Nice
If you want to re-run IBT with threads = 2, you should find that the core temps will be several degrees hotter, GFlops score will increase and execution time will be somewhat lower.

Are you going to run extended stress tests using Prime95, OCCT, or Orthos.
I run 3 separate Prime95 tests for 24 hours (each) and I like to torture my system using the OCCT PSU test for 20 - 30 minutes for that well baked aroma smell.

If Performance Enhance = Standard was used during your test, setting it to Turbo might still be stable and possibly give a modest boost to memory performance.
Static tRead Value (tRD) = 9 might be stable and would help improve memory performance.

VID is the stock cpu voltage for each cpu.
The main CPU screen for cpu-z shows the actual cpu voltage when your system is running and the value changes depending on cpu load.
When enabled, CoreTemp logging saves core temperatures (current, high and low) and cpu load values in the CSV spreadsheet file format while it is running.

    That's what VID is AFAIK.
Try a 2-3 notchs higher Vcore and see if those GFlops increase, though they look good to me.

From what was recommended to me, the best IBT test to run for max stress testing for your CPU:

    Stress: Maximum
    Passes: 10
    Threads: 2
    G1.Assassin 2 (F11)
    i7 3820
    Noctua NH-D14 SE2011
GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP
    DOMINATOR GT (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz 9-11-10-27 @ 1.5V
    Sandisk Extreme 240GB / Barracuda 1TB
    Win8 Pro x64
    Corsair HX750
    HAF-X

    Hmmmm......
It looks like your E8400 results with threads = 2 were marginally worse than the Auto setting.
With my lower end processors, I saw a ~50% increase in GFlops with threads = 2 and my systems were running ~ 3.50GHz.

**edit** With 8GB of memory and threads = 10, you would be baking your system for 1 hour.
Maybe you could bake a small meal inside your computer case ;)

I wouldn'd say worse, it realy depends on the number of processes running maybe memory organization maybe, they are about the same.

With his temperatures it can hardly be considered warming.

I agree, an hour at 60 degrees (C) really isn't anything to worry about.
I cringe when I see some posts where they're running 50 - 100 IBT or LinX loops.
