Looking good, when I get my new PSU in may re-attempt 500FSB, but I don't think my board can hit those clocks at your volts, think you got lucky with a good board/CPU. Keep us posted with your progress.

Yeah, I know! Thanks for pointing that though!!
I just wanted to see his VTT and MCH voltages in his 500 FSB!! They are quite low for that rated FSB, aren't they? Nice
Thanks Arctic and stuck sensors sucks! A friend of mine has that problem and it is so frustrating! Nice job overclocking, anyway!!

Yeah, I couldn't get system to post consistently @ 500FSB without 1.38V VTT, my MCH I was still in the process of finding the proper area (GSKILL recommended 1.40MCH w/ 8GB of the memory I was using, but that seems a bit high...)

One thing to note though, I hadn't manually adjusted CPU/MCH Ref, so that could have affected things a bit.

Either way though, props to Arctic on the great OC.

I wasn't stable either in my overclock! Today I manually adjusted MCH Reference voltage as directed by Chike and voila! Rock Stable with MEMTEST and Prieme95 Blend test at 1400MHz with 7-7-7-22-78 tREAD 8!! I wasn't stable before even at 1344 8-8-8-24, tREAD 9!
Amazing what MCH Reference can do?? I really didn't know that!!

MCH Reference is one of the main keys for stability when OCing P45 boards. With GB defaults it seems that very often less means more(stability).

    @dimvam
Can you post your latest settings in your thread along with screen capture of EasyTybe voltages and MemSet main window?
And BTW what are your core temperatures under Prime95?

Sweet!! I am going to check your thread out asap!! Congrats..

Just a heads up for anybody ready this - I had a really crummy night last night. I decided to try out the new final F10 bios that gigabyte released. I specifically mentioned mushkin ram which is what i am using...and thought newer must be better right? Well in my specific case - WRONG...

I flashed to the new f10 final and followed the flashing guideline to the letter. Loaded in my now verified solid 4ghz 500fsb settings and save and exit. No post......no post.....no post and then default back to safe settings.

I tried tinkering a bit with it but basically I was going to have to start from scratch and I so did not want to do that. So I re-downloaded the f10e that was so good for me and flashed up. I got checksum errors and hanging - couldnt even get inside the bios and my keyboard was frozen so I couldnt get back to q-flash.

Anyways long story short - I am back on F10e and settings are solid again. But a word to the wise - newer is not always better. I have never had a flashing issue ever with any of my motherboards in the past and that dates back pretty far.

    I am sticking with f10e!!

Here is a 3dmark Vantage comparison of a full stock bios with optimized defaults loaded and then 3dmark ran vs my 4ghz run. Both runs my video card is at the same speed of 900mhz core and 1200mhz ram. Just interesting to see the difference.

    Glad to see you reovered.
First time I flashed was just when I got the board and had some issues that turn to be simple settings. The second was when I thought it will help me to OC further, which it really didn't, ever since there been 3 BIOS updates to this board and every time the stupid thought to update comes into my mind I hold myself, for what, everything is fine and dandy why should I go and mess things up?

    exactly!!

    lesson learned over here!!

I still can't believe how different each bios revision is for the same board. I couldn't get 500fsb to post with any number of combination's of voltage....

    f10e ftw

My guess it is more memory settings related, could be tRD.
In no way I encourage you to update and test this theory no matter how much curious minds want to know :-)
