Smile GA-EP45-UD3R - questions about BIOS

    hello to all.

I am new on this forum. English is not my native language, please be indulgent.

    Here are the questions?

    1) how to recognize Master or Slave for sata ports on ICH10R

    2) did the onboard SATA, means the 2 purple ports ? ( are they Jmicron controlled ?)

    3) in Integrated perphericals, whats the difference between
    - SATA RAID AHCI mode
    - SATA AHCI mode

    4) C2/C2E and C4/C4E
I understood that these functions optimized "power consumption" in some circonstances and are additionnal to C1/C1E

Could I know, whats is behind C2/C2E and C4/C4E
Is it any consequences to enabled or disabled (eg : for O/C)

5)what's the PLL reference for this MB

    thanks for your help
I don't know if I am in the correct place of the forum or if I should be in GA-technical support??

I believe there is no master/slave setup in a raid array. I had to disable some of the C functions to get my MB to see my memory.

You can run the Sata function on the Gigabyte Sata controllers GSATA2_0 and GSATA2_1, place your harddrive on the GSATA2_0 and your CDROM/DVD on the GSATA2_1, this will mimic the IDE function and allow you to run your OS. They are locate near your memory just under yur 4-pin sys_fan2 pin.
