Now I get it. you're right. He could just power off right after saving the bios. Or just unplug the HD if he wants to be 100% sure no data corruption happens.

Just a quick response to add that with the relaxed timing for "Refresh to ACT Delay" set to 65-75/80 you should also set "(G)MCH OverVoltage Control" as he mentioned in the same post the previous setting is from.

"Refresh to ACT Delay" = 65-75/80 (try 80 first and then lower as much as you can to boot stable)
"(G)MCH OverVoltage Control" = +0.25v-0.35v needed for 8GB of ram so I would try +0.2v for 4GB with the above setting.
Also since you are on P45, dont forget the setting someone mentioned earlier about clock skew.

Refresh to Act is limtied by the RAMs "ability" not the MCH as far as I'm aware, so it would be the RAM itself if this were the problem. But he tried like 5 different RAM kits so it's unlikely this is the problem. But try it anyway, maybe I'm wrong and infiniti25 did figure it out, I would certainly be happy for the guys having this problem :)

This is a long thread, and sorry I have been gone so I need to catch up. Can you please give me your last full settings you tried that fail, maybe I can see something that would be causing this to happen. And of course let me know which ram you are trying now, Link to model would be great.

Basically the problem they're having (several people have this issue) that completely at stock settings, dual channel won't work. If he puts the RAM in slots 1&2 for single channel operation it works. He tried several different RAM kits and it's all the same.

Voltages set proper and performance enhance on standard? Slots 2+4 and or 1+3 both do not work in Dual?

I dont know if he has tried performance enhance = standard or not, but he has tried all the different slot combinations with 5 different sets of ram sticks.
He says he has tried voltage increases, but I guess we will have to wait for him to fill out your template.

Hope that with your help can get it working clo007 and others.

It seems to be that slots 1,2 will boot. Slots 3,4 will not boot even with a single stick. Voltage and setting the timings manually seem to not work. Im sure cloo can vouch for this. Hopefully LSD can shed some light on this problem that cloo, myself and many others are having. Its seems to be luck of the draw on if you get a fully working board or not. Some people are running freakin 16gb of ram on theirs when I cant get 4gb to function properly.

Sorry guys. Busy day at work so I didn't get to check the forums at lunch. LSD, I have tried every type of combination out there with 5 different sets of ram. Like Munchkinpuncher said, slots 1/2 work, but of course single channel mode. Anything ram stuck in a farther slot fails, as in boot cycle. I have tried 1/3, 2/3, and 2/4 with no success. 1 will run all day. 1/2 will run all day. 1/3 boot cycle all day! I have had a rev 1.0(current one) and rev 1.1 with the exact same thing on both motherboards. I have been through f4,f5 and f6 bios. No help.
The suggestion was it was the PSU. I pulled all extra HDDs, did load optimized and ran stock, with the same effect.

Long story short, no matter what I do, it will not run in dual channel mode.
