    I try to get 4.0GHz again but I still can not make it stable with Orthos test

    CPU Vcore and CPU Termination are rather high if compare with other that using same CPU and mobo like me (E8400 E0 & UD3P) but it still not stable.

    Please help

    You need to test the memory if its stable at those speeds1st , since its overclocked. SO try 5-5-5-15 and PL10, then run memtest(can run just test 7 for quick results), let it run for a couple hours. Or you can 1st try memtest with your current mem settings to see if its OK.


    Then with MCH that high your going to need to reduce MCH reference to .70 or lower, but .68-.70 is prob about right. Again to set this you set VTT to 1.2, then set MCH ref to .70, then raise the VTT back up, this way it will show .70MCH in ET6. Also try keeping VTT and MCH core at the same voltage or quick testing.

    When i have CPU EIST Function and CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) disabled the Board is very unstable
    max. FSB = 400-420

    When i enable this the max. FSB. is 550 (now) with CPU Termination = 1.30
    and CPU PLL = 1.59

    My CPU is a E8300-C0
    BIOS F5

    That makes no sence. EIST would totally screw with your overclock.

    On my UD3P it makes a sence.

    But on my old P5K/EPU it must by disabled for the same performance



    I also enable CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)

    I think thats the problem

    I have both enabled

    screw your overclock? Why? It merely lowers the cpu multiplier when there is low cpu load. Anyway I will check if I will be able to get more stable FSB with this disabled...

    Generally, people disable EIST and C1E when overclocking, especially moreso when overclocking aggressively. If you consider that often Vcore is increased when overclocking and certainly it is when left on Auto (depensing on what level of overclocking you're at), that has an affect on CPU Vcore load.

    To help ensure stability, it's often better not to allow the EIST function with high overclocks, so that there isn't this higher load swing than usual.

    I change memory timing to 5-5-5-15 and test, it has no error on memtest (Passed Test #6 on 15 minutes)

    But I still don't know how to make it run stable on Orthos stress test, Do I need to add more voltage?

    Current BIOS Setting

    CPU Vcore: 1.400v
    CPU Termination: 1.320v
    CPU PLL: 1.500v

    MCH Core: 1.280v
    MCH Reference: 0.696v
    ICH I/O: 1.500v
    ICH Core: 1.100v
