    No, you will be fine using 4x1. I actually prefer using 4x1 instead of 2x2, it overclocks a little easier

    I would use all 4 sticks, you may still get 3-3.5Gb you can use in a 32bit system, depends on how much ram is on your graphics card

    Use 4x1, and yes you can overclock for sure. Most all things I suggested to you for 2x2 will be just fine for 4x1. You may need to set your ram voltage different now though, not sure what your other was without going back to check. Just set it to 1.9 or 1.92-1.95

    LSDMEASAP Sir. Thank you once again.

    However, I have not been able to fix my original double post problem. Its kinda strange and I guess I have to live with it. Have tried many permutations and combinations but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

    Do you think the 266 MCH Latch limitation is due to my proccy??

    I am not able to sense why it is doing it and how to prevent it from doing that. Gigabyte Technical Support has been crap. They said they cant comment on OCing. It made me laugh for a while though.

    You and others who help troubled people like me are 10000000 times better than them. :)

    If u think of something that I have left to try to get the double post problem fixed, please let me know.

    Ya, I know they wont offer overclock advice, and I think the language barrier is the only reason answers are often short from them.

    What do you mean by 266 Latch limitation? I Mean you can use 266 Strap above 333 FSB, this is good and not a limitation.

    Or did you mean something else?

    Okay. Here I am back. I still have not been able to fix the problem I am facing. Someone told me that As I am using E7300 which has FSB 266 and runs at 1066, my RAM should have been 1066 rather than 800. Is that what is limiting my OC?

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO OC MY SYSTEM WITH FSB 400 WHICH I AM UNABLE TO DO AT PRESENT BECAUSE OF DOUBLE POST AFTER AC POWER DISCONNECTION.

    NOTE : I am using Crucial Ballistix 2X2Gb RAM now.

    They are wrong. Very wrong.

    You can run DDR-800 RAM just fine on any FSB speed, as long as you use the memory multipliers to keep the RAM at or below rated speed, and sometimes over rated speed is fine too. Using the 2.00D or 2.00B memory multipliers, DDR-800 will actually be running slower than its rated speed until 400 FSB (that's 1600MHz "rated FSB")

    Try toddalex4's settings. They are exactly what I would try. I have an E7300 arriving in the post tomorrow from an eBay auction, and will be using settings similar to this as soon as I verify the chip actually works.

    You may need to adjust CPU Core Voltage up a little from the settings toddalex4's using, depends on your chip.

    The above settings worked fine and I was able to boot in Windows. Ran OCCT and stable. However, after AC power disconnection when I switch on , the computer still double posts. This does not happen if I select MCH Latch 266 and memory Multiplier 2.50A with CPU FSB 333X10 and RAM running at 833. I wanna OC my proccy to 400 FSB so that I can run RAM at 800 Mhz with FSB:RAm 1:1.

    I dont know why this is happening. The OC settings are retained. The only problem is the double post after AC power disconnection if I use MCH latch anything other than 266 or OC FSB beyond 332.

    Please advise.

    Simply do not disconnect your power supply, why do you anyway? This drains the CMOS battery and the double post is needed to reflash the DMI pool back into the CMOS because you drained the battery

    Use 401 or 399 FSB

    Please try these settings, VCore of course you will need to find
