The PSU cable is connected to UPS which is connected to the wall socket. I turn off the UPS not from the mains. The reason I use UPS is because of frequent power cuts.

If what you have explained is true LSDMEASAP sir, then other people would also face double post problem after AC power disconnection. I dont see anyone except me report this problem with EP43-DS3L.

What is driving strength? No Idea.

I will try out the settings that you mentioned and report back. Obviously, the system was stable with my settings but I wanna cure this double post problem which happens only when I OC and use a different MCH latch other than 266. With 266, this double post thing does not happen at all, however, that limits my OC as my ram would be running at 1000 Mhz with 2.50A memory multi and FSB 400.

The DRAM Voltage shows 2.0 is Everest.

People do report it for sure, not so many though because not many users disconnect their PC from a power source. But it does happen all the same, I think you are maybe the 5-6 person I have seen with this issue in a year. So that may be why it is hard for you to find mention of the issue as not many people do that.

Driving strength is hard to explain, I could dig you up some findings here on it if you like. But you want to either set that at or above your ram speed, normally above is better

You double post may actually only be caused by incorrect voltages or settings, since you say it does not happen with non overclock settings. You do mean that it does not happen at stock when you disconnect the power correct? If so, then you likely just are not using enough voltage somewhere

Or it could also not happen at stock because a double reboot is not needed to reload the cmos/DMI pool with stock settings as they would be loaded once power is applied anyway? So not fully sure about that

Hey, what does everest show for your Vbat? Just checking

    Proccy - E7300, default FSB 266
    RAM - Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2X2Gb DDR2 800 Mhz

    Let me explain my problem.

    At stock no Double post

If CPU FSB <=332, MCH latch set to Auto, No double Post

IF CPU FSB >332, MCH Latch set to Auto, Double posts

IF CPU FSB > 332, MCH Latch set to 266, No double Post

IF CPU FSB > 332, MCH Latch set to 333, Double Posts

IF CPU FSB = 400, MCH Latch set to Auto or 400, Double Posts

By reading this, it is clear that I need to select MCH Latch 266 to OC. Well, what I dont understand is what is causing the bottleneck in my OCing. Why does it double post beyond 332 if I wish to use 333 or Auto or 400 as MCH (Depending on CPU FSB). I have read many people successfully OC their
E7300 to FSB 400. I am unable to OC to 400 FSB bcoz by using MCH latch 266, selecting Memory Multi 2.50A, my RAM needs to run at 1000 Mhz

I would like to OC my proccy to either 400X8 or 400X9, run RAM at 800 Mhz in 1:1 ratio. Please help.

VBAT is 3.09V LASMEASAP Sir. what is it ??

    Vbat is your CMOS battery.

I think your only issue is voltages, or settings. You can use 333 or 400 Straps above 333-400 FSB. Your double posts are either incorrect settings or normal, as when you apply certain changes in the BIOS a double post always happens and then the system will start as it should.

So when you use 333 or 400 multipliers after the double post is it fine then? If so that is perfectly normal

    LSMEASAP Sir.

The double post when OC is normal. I understand. The double post after AC power disconnection when OC using any MCH latch setting other than 266 is the problem. The system is rock stable even if it double posts with 400 FSB and selecting MCH Latch 400.

I don't understand what voltage or settings is causing the problem of Double post after AC power disconnection. I need help in fixing this double post problem after AC power disconnection. Waiting for your advice on this.

My system double posts every time I completely switch it off at the wall. It doesn't effect anything, just takes 2 seconds longer.

If I leave the AC power switched on, it posts right away. It's hardly a big issue, to me anyway.

Psycho Buddie does that happen even at stock settings or when you OC and select a latch other than 266?
