Yep the screen of death is appon me :), not really fun but ok. My problem is that when i use 3 sticks of ram everything is great i can oc to heaven an no memory problem whatsoever, but when using 4x1gb, everything is back to hell. It must be some settings in bios, that needs changes. With 3gb its like its on fire everything nice, overclockt to 3.5Ghz with stock cooler, only vcore set to 1.400 an 2.00B, and it works. But problem is 4 sticks. Neeeed heeelp. :)

Swap stick in socket 3 with the spare one you have and see if everything works fine. I would have though that you have a bad stick but I think you have tested them all, but just to be sure try it.

If you send it back make sure you send its matching mate back with it. They should all have serial numbers on them, and with the case of Corsair XMS 2 the matching pair have the same serial number. You want to send them back as a pair as they are kinda designed or "picked" to run together, so to avoid any more compatability issues in the future send the pair back and they will send you a new matching pair. Good luck. You will be right running on 2gb for a bit surely.
