Default EP45-UD3R - Freezes at Memory T during Post

    Hi All.

Strange issue that I cant pinpoint. Occassional my new PC will not boot. It enters the Post screen then stops at "Memory T"..it should say Memory Test, but it freezes before it can spell it out, then jsut keeps trying to reboot, sticking at the same spot. Normally it will run the tests and continue the post. It is not giving me beeps, and my OCZ Platinum 4GB (2X2GB) 1066, passes memtests just fine.

I do not overclock and have set my performance down to standard as recommended. I can usually unplug the cable from the PSU for a few minutes and then it will boot and I have no issues at all. But if I restart the PC i run the risk of it freezing at the Memory Test.

Has anyone else run accross this issue?

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what was causing this?

I tried another brand of RAM and had the same issue, so I actually had to RMA the MOBO. I upgraded to the UD3P and havent had a single issue. What ever the problem is, it is the MOBO itself.

Thanks. Sorry to hear you had to RMA your board. I found my problem was that I had legacy USB support enabled as detailed in this thread.

I tried that as well with no success, so it was definetly the mobo in my case. I actually am glad I did RMA it, the UD3P has several more features (Dual GB NIC, 2 PCI EX slots) and I ended up paying like 10 extra bucks. So no harm no foul.
