    Default usb connetion problem

    Hi

I can't figure out where to put the 2usb+ and 2usb- wires on
my gap35s3g mobo ? Can someone please post a drawing on how to
connect all the usb wires on the board ? The problem is that the wires
from my old pc isn't mensioned in the mobo manuel or have a different
name from them pictured! I'm stocked right now so a little help would
    be very nice :)

    Thanks.

    Jango.

The motherboard sockets have 10 pins, of which Gigabyte use only 8.

Whilst the diagram shows them as 1 to 10, it makes more sense to the uninitiated if you number each row 1 to 5.

    Wire them thus:

    1 RED USB_Power (5V power)
    2 WHITE D- (Data -)
    3 GREEN D+ (Data +)
    4 BLACK GND (Ground)
5 NC (Not Connected This is the one that usually has a plug in it)

If you look at one of the rear slot adapters with a keyed plug that Gigabyte supply with MB's it should be obvious.

The unused pins (9 & 10, or 5 if you number each row 1 to 5) are at the end with one hole plugged in the adapter.

If the colours on your connector (or connectors I assume your case has a bunch of wires with individual connectors ) differ from those shown, they should be marked with their function (PWR, D-, D+, GND and you should have two of each per twin USB outlet.

Hope this solves it for you.
