    Default Trying 4.5 on UD3P with E8400

    Someone have settings bios for get thy 4.5 :o?
    E8400 C0 - Thermaltake V1
    UD3P rev1.0 Bios F7
    G.skill 2x2GB 8500
    Fan system = thermaltake Armor 25cm

    With a C0 you're unlikely to get there. Try lower settings instead. Start with the settings I suggested here:

    That's the stepping, E0 is newer. E0 Quads for example are often able to hit 500 FSB on UD3 boards while C0 often maxes out around 450 MHz.
    The max overclock of dual cores is also somewhat higher and many reach 4.5Ghz with E0

    Read carefully, 450 for Quads, you've got a dual-core. C0 E8x00 can very well reach 600 FSB on the right board (Biostar P45^^), but their max overclock is not limited by the FSB.

    4Ghz is indeed very easy and pretty much every C0 is able to do that. Bumping up the multi to 9 though is a whole different story.
