    Default EP45-UD3P, No boot at FSB 333 and ram 1066

    I have this problem and I wounder if any other have it and if there is a fix for this.

    Here we go.

    I canīt run 2x1, 2x2 or 4x2 ram at 1066 with bus 333, 1066 with bus 400 or 1080 with bus 450, run ram 800 and bus 333 or any 1:1 is okey .

    I can boot with dual channel strap 333 multi 2,40B with bus 434 ram 1042 but not with bus 435 ram 1044, no matter what I do.

    Run ram 1066 or 1080 with bus 333, 400 or 450 in dual channel , single channel

    I can run ram at 1200 555 15 with 2x1 and 4x1 at bus 400, 450 and 500.

    I can run my 2x2 and 4x2 ram up to 1100 at bus 550, no problem, it seems as long as I run 1:1 itīs always okey.

    Have test all DIMM slots.


    I have two sets of 2x1 Kingston HyperX PC9600 (1200MHz), one set of 2x2 Corsair Dominator PC8500 (1066MHz) and two sets of 2x2 OCZ Reaper PC8500 ver3 (1066MHz), they all have the same problem.

    My Dominator are on the ram QVL list for this board.


    I have notice that my board are very sensitive about what CPU Term, CPU ref, MCH core volt and MCH ref to set, specially the last two ones.


    I have run out of ideas, donīt know what to do.

    Suggestions anyone?

    What do you want to run in the end? If you know, please give me your settings for that speed that you are using that fail for you and I will advise.

    And please do tell me which set of ram you plan to do this with as they would all need different timings, and voltages

    Thank you for your response but I did RMA my board because of the problem.

    They couldnīt fix it so I got a new board, rev 1.0.

    Bth do you know the different between rev 1.0 and 1.1?

    I have done some test at those bus speed and ram speed that I had problem with and it seams okey with this board.

    I did a short LinX run with my E8400@450 4,50 2x1 ram@1080 555 15 tRD 9 Turbo, XP SP2 32bit and it worked just fine.

    Gigabyte EP45-UD3P BIOS F4 / E6600 B2, E8400 CO, Q6600 G0, Q9650 E0 / 2x1 Kingston HyperX PC9600 / 2x2 Corsair Dominator PC8500 / 2x2 OCZ Reaper PC8500 ver3 / XFX 9800GTX
