    Dodge, howcome you reduced the multi and used a 500 fsb to obtain your OC?
    does this chip not like 9x ? or was it for memory purposes?

    Dyslexia kicking in again :( I actually (and finally lol) meant 1.4315v.

    Drewis, even with a good chip, you will need more than that to get 4ghz. Can you add your system specs to your sig? Makes it easire for us to help you out! You can edit sig in User CP.

    It was for memory purposes, with 450x9 I could only get 4ghz with 900 memory. I wanted at least 1066 memory and 4ghz cpu..which is what I got FINALLY- lol.

    Im looking now to get 1100 memory too, but I cant increase my vcore anymore. Its all about testing in stages. Lower your CPU multi first to see how far your memory goes and then lower your memory multi to see how far your cpu goes! If you have good cooling, dont be afraid of 1.4v vcore. Set this, monitor your temps and test for stability. You can then work your way down!

    Hmm k. at least 1.4v.. im using the intel stock cooler, i dont know how much further i want to push it using that. Well that explains my no boot into windows... I have all the settings correct except for Vcore...

    What are your idle/load temps with voltage @ 1.4v +?

    right now my temps are 39 idle 61 under 100% load for 10 min.

    Dont overclock with the stock cooler at 1.4v!!

    My temps are v high.

    Prime reaches 65 load, 39 idle.
    Burn in test reaches 79 load- but thats quite normal:)

    also though, you have the C0 chip, i might be able to obtain 4ghz with 1.35 -1.38 v? seeing as though i can get a post at 1.325

    Just thought I would share my template with you folks, I now intend to get my voltages as low as possible keeping it stable of course, one pair of my new Tracer's is being replaced atm so not doing any testing. 450FSB eludes me for some reason but I haven't given up yet...

    Managed to get to 4.5GHz. This is Intel Burn Test (10 loops) stable, 3D Mark 06 and Vantage and Prime 95 stable.
