    I really appreciate the help in this forum. I'm very careful when it comes to messing with this and still consider myself a noob at this point.

    My core temps to hang around 41 using OCCT v3.01. Not really sure if that's great or not. Thought it was. GPU says 59 but not sure how it's getting that reading.

    It would be a good idea to test for 4ghz before 4.25 -4.5ghz.

    Great info and appreciate your feedback. My problem is I don't' know where to begin, when to adjust what and so on. Noob to this sort of thing.

    ALSO, I'm incorrect on my RAM. It's the OCZ2RPR11504GK. Which is PC2-9500 @ 1150Mhz. That matters I would think.

    With your 1150mhz memory it gives you greater flexibility with the choice of System Memory Multipliers.

    Please refer to Lsdme's strap/ratio chart below to give you an idea of the SMM options that are available to you.

    Good to know and I think I forgot this. But maybe I'm being thick headed here. I'm not sure where to start. What to tweak first, and then adjust. I was fortunate enough to use someone's settings that worked well at 3.83Ghz. I see you suggestions in red further up but have no idea where to start and what to tweak when, etc.

    Everybody's system is different so one has to try them all to find what works for your setup. Unfortunately this can take some time, but if you are methodical and systematic with your approach it can help reduce the number of combinations to use. Start with what I had suggested in the bracketed values that are in red. For the red text that just has a range of values start with the lower range.

    Here is an attachment of an excel spreadsheet. I had to zip it because it appears we can't attach xls files. Just unzip it.

    There is a blank spreadsheet template for you to fill in your bios values. Sheet 1 is what I did for my cpu and the combinations that I tried before finding my sweet spot. My settings may not work for you but the reason I included it for you is so that it can help you understand my mindset and my approach when I was oc'ing my cpu. This was my first 775 cpu so it was a learning curve for me. I would highlight in yellow the changes that I made. The red highlights are things that I felt were important for my cpu and worth attention. The green highlights are for what passed. Note, there are row entries for items like max temp, vdroop, etc. You can use whatever items that you feel is important or what might help you in your oc quest. It is a good idea to make notes so that you know what works and what doesn't. This is what works for me, and I think it is a good approach to oc'ing . Hopefully it will work for you.

    The rest is up to you.
