    Do you need help with your settings still or are you all stable now? If you need help, fill this out with your settings that are failing and I will advise back. Ahh let me see them anyway just to be sure either way so I can see about these oddities you mention >>

    Thanks.

    I used a Gigabyte G-Power BL cooler. Temperatures get no higher than mid 50s during a SuperPi run, with the fan on less than full rpm.





    I also have an active heatpipe cooler on the Northbridge, can't remember the make. I included it on a Newegg order to get the minimum amount for free shipping. Memory speed isn't the greatest, but I find the bios overclocking options a bit confusing on this board in terms of memory and fsb speeds.

    EDIT: It's a Xigmatek Porter on the NB.

    I have used those, loud sometimes but efficient for sure. I used one a while ago in a Pentium D build for a customer, worked out pretty well.

    I realize this is a long dead thread, but, as it covers virtually the same mobo/cpu as mine, it is helpful to me in my search for the top end OC. I bought this board at Denver's Microcenter in Novermber 2010 for $92 tax included. Currently, I'm running stock voltages and 3.4 cpu OC. Stable with no issues. Will start my own thread when I am able to get any higher with voltage tweaks, (after upgrading Case, [Thermaltake Dokker], and cpu cooler, [Cooler Master 212+]). Soon, very soon...

    I'm looking for a healthy overclock that will (hopefully) not decrease the life of my computer too much. I'm thinking 3.0GHz but if it looks like I can do better do tell :).

    After going over this thread I have a better understanding of what should be done but I'd like to get an OK on my memory and the related settings as I know it plays a big role (and the DDR2-800 is a limiting factor).

    The memory is fine. With CPU ratio of 12.5 you can(theoretically) do over 4GHz with what FSB this CPU can take, some top at 320MHz other can do 350+MHz.
    Please fill your forum signature with your system information, link to ram preferrably to manufacturer site G.SKILL-Products.
    Would be better if you create a new thread and post the information as described in steps 1-4 in this post.
