Ahh, well it didn't for me but that maybe because I am in the US? OHH wait, it worked for me just now! Funny, it did not the other day, and ya I knew I had to wit for it to update... Oh well

Ya, I do believe all the new ones they would be shipping would be 2.0V anyway

I could get 530fsb on air(maybe)with different memory, but i havent seen a quad post anywhere(on UD3) running more than 550fsb (1:1)at 7+ cpu multiplier(stable),not many duals either and thats just for world records :)
Im not to thrilled on recent dual posts not even getting my fsb on the crucial.
Ill be happy enough on 500-510 fsb,500 will be good enough because it doesnt need a big volt jump,it should last until the memory/cpu becomes dirt cheap.
Im lucky in a way.id hoped for 3.5Ghz and got that within a day or two.
3.57 is doable now, maybe 3.6 but ill hold as it is i think and maybe go tweaking for bandwidth.thx all.
Btw Im assuming lsd that the 540/550 fsb with crucials youve tested is not with quads on ud3 on air?

Na, all my tests are done on water. I have not used a Air cooler for few years

The Crucial testing was done with a E3110, no quad 775's here as I never liked them. The only Quad I have is a i7, and I would have wanted a dual one of those as well but they do not make them..... yet?

Sounds like you may need a better cooler

Well since w/c or phase would be more than the cpu upgrade cost ill pass for now
If I ever decide to adapt an old refrigerator compressor and build a vapor cooling kit ,ill post here

Well heres a review good for the V8 vs the thermalright.
    Legion Hardware
The next review might show the thermal or noctua as being the best on a particular setup, but I dont think changing (air) coolers is going to make that much diff to me.
Full load hottest core temps(core0) for me on V8= 62-65 (490-505fsb)
Right now its fsb and im like 90% sure its the memory(good tho it is),that wont run any higher on any multiplier.
The cpu might not have that much left in it either, but both it and mch volts are a lot further from the danger zone.
The catch 22 is no one is really using their memory at 530fsb+,they dont need to/its easier not to.

    edit:
I eventually found something semi specific to my situation
    GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P OC Reivew

This guy used some 10000 (1300mhz ram) from corsair it seems.
(He used corsair 8500 for the 500mhz fsb)
Then he switched to 2x1gb sticks of 1300mhz memory?
He gets 517fsb, the max I can get for safe testing is 507 ish.
He reckons 517 is fairly close to max on air for Q8200.
    That feels right,maybe 520-525?
This 1300mhz memory he was using has an epp at 2.4v,same as the 1066,sounds high.
I cant find this 10000(1300mhz) mem on sale, somehow i dont think were talking $30.
I might need 8800(1100mhz) stuff at least.
Either way Id have to clock back for everyday use, maybe 510mhz,which isnt much more than what Im running now.
o/c on 7 multiplier is a dying art

YA, I think all that about sums it up for that CPU. I bet there is a comparison of the two coolers, but I bet you are right anyway a degree or three would not matter.

Ya even most dual core users who run 540+ FSB only do it for benching anyway, not something I would buy $150-200 ram for
